Vegas_Sioux Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Haks had his chance...hes made his money and can run... Why does our band always seem crappier compared to other teams? They play the same song every night As someone who was in the band the answer is BU and wisconsin and the goopher are all on scholarship our band is all people who want to be in the band and who do it for the fun of it, The work they do is something amazing they have to be in the football band to qualify for the hockey band in order to do that they have to take mus 272 which 2 hours of marching band mwf and sometimes every day the week of a football game. yzerman19 Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I think the big difference this year is that we're just about last in every defensive and offensive statistical category. agree. We also don't have a stable of future NHLers that just need to figure out how to play together... Quote

sioux24/7 Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Okay so some of you are calling for Hak to be canned. My question is with the strong recruiting class coming in, would firing Hak affect that at all? Quote
bigskyvikes Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 So do you. Everything in my mouth came out my nose reading this...thanks for that! But that is funny. Quote
Vegas_Sioux Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Fire the band director! I don't think Dr Brooks or Dr. Popejoy are going anywhere neither is tammy. Quote
sprig Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Wasn't Lowell the favorite, thus making a BU win to eliminate Yale from the tourney the more "improbable" scenario? Probably, but BU was playing much better down the stretch than Yale (at least seemed to be, unless the ECAC was much better than HE). The point is, a late game goal to tie and a winning goal in OT vs. the Gophers seemed to turn Yale into a new team. Anyone can win, but you have to make the tourney, even it it's barely slipping in. As it was, the WCHA appeared to be highly over-rated when it came to the tourney. Parity has arrived, and aside from (possibly) the AHA and maybe this year's WCHA, no conference appears to be clearly better than any other. Quote
MafiaMan Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 BU and Michigan were both playing great hockey down the stretch. Had either of them won their conference playoff championship games, Yale would have stayed home. An incredible amount of luck to get in...an incredible amount of skill to beat Minnesota, North Dakota, UMass-Lowell, and Quinnipiac to win the whole thing. Quote
sprig Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 True, can add Michigan to BU as well. Speaking of brutal HE refs, Lowell/Notre Dame is on NESN this afternoon. ND gets a goal waived off when the ND forward gets pushed into the goalie, gets called for INT, goal waived off, Lowell scores on the PP, the ND bench says something after the Lowell goal, gets a bench minor, Lowell scores again. a 3 goal turn around in under 60 seconds.
