dagies
It was reported this week that Hakstol said that O'Donnell is healthy. I think there was some credible talk earlier that he'd been dinged up for a while. Could be a matter of playing his way into the lineup during practice now? brianvf
UW's Michael Mersch calls out UND fans in our 2nd intermission interview Friday night, Mersch quote:"you would never see something like that at the Kohl Center with their fans leaning over our bench which is kinda unfortunate." The UW fans are too busy jumping around in circles and doing choreographed dance routines to realize that they are actually at a hockey game. That stuff doesn't go on in Madison .......dooooohkay....

bcblues
I will be quite happy if we can just manage to NOT make silly defensive turnovers in our own end. Zane played really well last night, if he does that again tonight, I think we will be OK. The offense will come, we have the horses.
Irish
The dump and chase with most of the players on this team doesn't fit their skill sets. Our top line is speed...not grind. The RPM line isnt clicking. Colton's line does it ok. Our 4th line does it the best. Why Hak doesn't let anyone carry the puck into the O zone is maddening...especially when we are struggling offensively. I've seen many really good coaches get overly attached to a certain scheme that doesn't work at times. Happens a lot in football and basketball. Hak's stubborn insistance on the dump and chase reminds me of this. It has been our mainstay since he took over. Has any of the underclassmen made a big step in their game since last year? Almost everyone has regressed. Maybe time to rethink things.

Seriously though, back in the early 1990's, we had a head coach (won't say who it is, just that he has an Italian last name) who was stubbornly attached to a certain coaching and recruiting philosophy that just didn't work anymore. And we all know how that movie ends. Not saying it's going to happen again, but it's worth remembering the past, because with human beings it has a nasty habit of repeating itself. But his father-in-law was not a powerful person. They will never fire him. Give him a nice buyout to resign so he can spend more time with his family and explore new opportunities... Good luck overcoming it.
