UND Fan Posted January 24, 2014 Author Posted January 24, 2014 Have been trying to get back into Nebraska at all? I have it in my head we used to grab guys from there. With only the one FBS school and now UNO not having a team it seems like it could a Wisconsin sort of pipeline. Not sure how hard we are hitting NE now but we have gotten some very good athletes out of the Omaha area over the years. Quote
UND Fan Posted January 24, 2014 Author Posted January 24, 2014 I see where Bohl must have convinced Daniel Vega, UND offeree (DE from Iowa), to change his verbal from IL St to Wyoming. Also, another UND offeree, Isaiah Lesure (WR from WI), who originally comimitted to NDSU now appears to have verballed to W IL. Quote
jdub27 Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Also, another UND offeree, Isaiah Lesure (WR from WI), who originally comimitted to NDSU now appears to have verballed to W IL. Rumor on the street is that the new coaching staff "adjusted" his scholarship offer even though he has been committed since September. Quote
UNDBIZ Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Are you sure it's not NDSU that offered him? He's following bisonation or whatever it's called. He's following them but he's also following Coach Gigli and UNDRecruiting aka Hambone..... Looks like a good player at RB. I like his vision and ability to either make the first guy miss or break the tackle. Good closing speed at LB, but not too sure about his tackling. Quote
UND-FB-FAN Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Anyone know anything about these guy: Levi Hoiby - QB/MLB from Stanley, ND probably a preferred walk-on Anthony Anderson - RB from Eden Praire really big, powerful back Garrett Bollant - RB/DB from Lobi, WI offensive MVP for his team probably plays DB though would need a year to get bigger too Jeloni Hudson - OL/DE from Blaine probably plays DE or redshirt and hit the weights hard to play OL Jamari Manuel - RB from Madison, WI he is a 2015 so I'm probably jumping the gun but the guy is pretty good Jason Telin - OL Oakdale, MN 6' 3" 290 strong enough but would need a year to get some of the footwork together RB Anthony Anderson is receiving interest from UND and is a big back (6' 2" 230 lbs). He would be a nice physical back to obtain for our newfound power running game. http://rivals.yahoo.com/basketballrecruiting/football/recruiting/player-Anthony-Anderson-155970 http://www.hudl.com/...3377?autoplay=1 Another player to look out for too is LB Matthew Seitz out of Wisconsin. He has a PWO from PAC-12 Cal so he might be tough to get. http://www.hudl.com/...4/matthew-seitz http://sports.yahoo....tt-Seitz-142690 Quote

I've been wanting a back built like this for years. Like that FB monster Poly had three years ago. Quote

geaux_sioux Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Wonder if he would be another RB to switch to LB. I'd want him at RB personally. Quote
Hambone Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I'd want him at RB personally. I really like Parks at RB. Lane out of Cali is intriguing also although I wonder if he's being recruited as a DB. Quote
jjensen Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I'd want him at RB personally. If the staff wants to establish a big physical runnng game like I think they do he would be a great addition. Majority of our backs now are gonna be great yards after contact guys Quote
geaux_sioux Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I really like Parks at RB. Lane out of Cali is intriguing also although I wonder if he's being recruited as a DB. Both at RB. They each have that natural shake and vision. I wouldn't want to waist that on LB. Quote
jjensen Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Sounds like we aren't giving up on Ezra Szczyrbak easily. SFI is saying hes on a visit this weekend. Quote
Hambone Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Sounds like we aren't giving up on Ezra Szczyrbak easily. SFI is saying hes on a visit this weekend. Yep - Bubba was there this week again. Love the aggressiveness. Quote
jjensen Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Yep - Bubba was there this week again. Love the aggressiveness. Got to establish that we aren't giving up easily on these big recruits got to complacent last few years I think. Quote
homer Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Big weekend for UND and the staff. I like the excitement in the communication of the players. I think this is going to be a good weekend for us. Quote
UND-FB-FAN Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Got to establish that we aren't giving up easily on these big recruits got to complacent last few years I think. I agree - we absolutely were too conservative, in both recruiting and leadership. That's why NDSU won over all local talent (both North Dakota and Minnesota) and UND was getting blown out at home. Quote
Hambone Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 UND has some sort of interest in Jareem Fleming. Would likely project as OLB for UND. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2473299/jareem-fleming Quote
Westside Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I hope Jones stays committed to Minnesota, because it only increases the likelihood that Josh Parks commits to UND. I'm seeing today that Jeff Jones has cancelled his visits to Florida & Michigan. Very likely that he is staying committed to Gophers. Hope this news helps get Josh Parks to UND. Quote
sioux24/7 Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Hopefully all the recruits get into GF this weekend. It is nice temperature wise here but now snowing and I am guessing the roads are not the greatest. Quote
UND92,96 Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Does anybody know whether UND is still recruiting Raymonte Maynard? http://recruiting.sc...c=1&nid=6640006 Quote
Hambone Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Does anybody know whether UND is still recruiting Raymonte Maynard? http://recruiting.sc...c=1&nid=6640006 Very difficult to find out anything about him. I would think so unless he has told UND no thanks. Quote
Gus Chiggins Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Looks like the tearing down and figurative throat-slitting of Ezra has commenced over at Bisonville.com just because he's visiting UND. Typical & classless. It's The Cow College way. Quote

Hope this news helps get Josh Parks to UND. Sounds good for UND. I think UND needs to get at least 2 running backs in this class due to the current depth and the new offensive emphasis of running the ball. Right now we don't have a RB verbal commitment, but there are plenty of good RBs in Minnesota that we are recruiting, so I think it will get done. Of course, this makes offensive line also a priority. Would be nice to get a commitment from Trey Pipkins out of Apple Valley. Quote
sioux24/7 Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 It is great that we are getting Ezra on campus but the likelihood of stealing him from the Bison seems very slim. Quote
