bcblues Posted January 21, 2012 Author Posted January 21, 2012 Oh well, npw I KNOW the Husky fans don't understand the game, since they DID chant SIEVE. Quote
bcblues Posted January 21, 2012 Author Posted January 21, 2012 I must say Faragher played a great game. I think he earned his spot. Quote
bcblues Posted January 21, 2012 Author Posted January 21, 2012 Still no goalie for the Sioux. Face off in the Husky end. Quote
bcblues Posted January 21, 2012 Author Posted January 21, 2012 Another (unearned) Husky goal on a Sioux penalty Quote
Let'sGoHawks! Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Move on and get the split. Spots 4 through 9 are very tight Quote
GoalieMask Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Tough one to take as it sounded like there were plenty of chances. Gotta get those 2 points tomorrow night. Fight on , Fighting Sioux! Quote
siouxforce19 Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Oh well, npw I KNOW the Husky fans don't understand the game, since they DID chant SIEVE. Dude, they chanted SIEVE at Eids when we were winning 7-1 a couple years ago. I think that says it all. Quote
GoalieMask Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Sigh. And for the moment we are in 8th/9th... Tied with Wisconsin. Quote
BigGreyAnt41 Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 boy, this board is weak these days. i'm watching in Mpls. Jim Rich is doing the play by play which is pretty good. i always like when he did the international tournaments. Really? I can't stand Jim Rich. I just really don't think he does a very good job. Fight on , Fighting Sioux! This has been a problem all year long, even before all the injuries. Besides Kristo, there just aren't a lot of goal scorers on this team. This team will have to fight to get home ice, fight to get to St. Paul and fight to win the Final Five. We won't get an at-large bid this year. Quote

fightingsioux4life Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 You realize Kristo is SECOND in goals scored on our team right? Okay, I was exaggerating a little bit. But we just don't have much depth overall and it's hard to win consistently without it. Quote
ozzie679 Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 I hate the sieve chant! I hate it! Get some new cheers SCSU fans! Quote

All of which is no surprise to anyone coming into this year, even before all the injuries. Given their current position, I don't know how anyone can say they have performed below their abilities, except to say that goaltending has, at times, not been what we might have expected. (And I'm not saying Dell has been a disappointment, either.) Quote
bigskyvikes Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Oh well, npw I KNOW the Husky fans don't understand the game, since they DID chant SIEVE. I dont know how guys can complain about this, it happens at the Ralph every game! Our students make me feel uncomfortable when we are losing and than score they chant "sieve" Quote
ringneck28 Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 I know this may seem strange, but I think that the team needs to think about mixing up the 1st line. Look at the way Parks played with the 1st line last week on friday. I just think that having him and Knight on one line and Kristo and Nelson on another will help get this thing moving a little more. It is just painful to watch right now with almost no flow in the offensive zone. Am I on the right track? Quote
BigGreyAnt41 Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 If there's any chant/cheer that needs to go away, it's the all-too-common "Hey Song" cheer. "Hey! You Suck!" is just pathetic. SCSU was doing it last night and I'm pretty much Mankato does it, among others I'm sure. Quote
hrkac Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 what the heck, try this tonight: nelson-knight-parks blood-rowney-kristo gaarder-lamm-pattyn seink-macmillan-dickin andy mac-gleason simpson-mattson panzzarella Dell Eids Quote

I like the idea of parks with the knight nelson line but blood needs to stay on D. I know that blood likes to bring the puck deep into the zone but we can't afford to weaken our D. It is our D that will bring us out of this especially if and when Forbort comes back. Quote

cbcsioux Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 I'm glad Hak sent a message to Blood and his teammates and started Blood last night. Now that's how we create a team as I'm sure Blood deserved to start based on last weekend and he is leading the team in +/- with a -10. Quote
