jodcon Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 http://www.ncaa.com/brackets/icehockey-men/d1/2011 For us unfortunate souls who can't make the trek to Green Bay or have decent TV options, here is the live bracket from the NCAA to track the real-time scores from all the games this weekend. It's worked well for other sports so hopefully hockey will too. Quote
BigChief Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Here is the audio feed for the UMD game. UMD Bulldog Radio Quote
RedFrog Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Duluth looking nervous in the first 6 minutes of this game...just took their 2nd penalty....still 0-0 Quote
SIOUXNDFAN Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Duluth looking nervous in the first 6 minutes of this game...just took their 2nd penalty....still 0-0 I always worry about the officiating difference from WCHA to other leagues out east. Quote
RedFrog Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 UMD Takes their 3rd penalty of the game already....still 0-0 Also, Duluth sporting the yellow hair. Quote
FIRE HELMET GUY #26 Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 UMD Takes their 3rd penalty of the game already....still 0-0 If they can kill 3 penalties to one of the best PP teams in the country that should be a pretty big boost for them.....not that I would keep taking dumb penalties. Quote
hrkac Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I always worry about the officiating difference from WCHA to other leagues out east. Ditto! Quote
RedFrog Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 UMD Scores on their first Power Play chance 1-0 Bulldogs Quote
05grad Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 UMD Takes their 3rd penalty of the game already....still 0-0 Also, Duluth sporting the yellow hair. That's unfortunate. Bleaching your hair is for high school hockey teams. I feel that when you are in college you should man up and grow a playoff beard/mustache. Quote
MafiaMan Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I wonder if UMD kept the dye jobs from the Final Five? HIGH SCHOOL! Quote
RedFrog Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Duluth up 1-0 after 1. Will start the 2nd on the Power Play for 1:43. Quote
28noel60 Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Duluth is going back on the PK Well not a pretty period but effective. UMD wins all the big faceoffs and Union pp is made to look like crap because of it. Quote
RedFrog Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Oooohhh!! EJ Hradek (sp?) is the analyst in the studio....I like him on the NHL radio show. Quote
MoneyLine Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I couldn't get the Bulldogs radio to work? Link to the Union radio http://www.teamline.cc/free_listen?teamcode=1160&eventcode=25&status=PFU Quote
nodakvindy Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 The number of penalties is a little worrisome. Hopefully UND takes notice, so they aren't killing penalties the whole way against RPI. Quote
MissSioux85 Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 The number of penalties is a little worrisome. Hopefully UND takes notice, so they are killing penalties the whole way against RPI. Agreed. Penalty #8 was just called and we're not even half way through the game. Quote
Vegas_Sioux Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Do we know if its CCHA refs or east refs? Quote
jodcon Posted March 25, 2011 Author Posted March 25, 2011 Agreed. Penalty #8 was just called and we're not even half way through the game. I always worry about how non-WCHA refs will call the games that WCHA teams play in, love em or hate em our refs let em play physical hockey, other conferences refs...not so much. Quote
jodcon Posted March 25, 2011 Author Posted March 25, 2011 Shots after 2 periods 21-12 Union, surprised it's not worse with all the penalties. Quote
28noel60 Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Its a parade to the bench This is hard hockey to watch both teams look slow wondering if we have bad ice or something also with how much lack of control of the puck both sides are having. Both teams are literally fighting the puck though maybe a little worse on Union side. How many penalties do we have now. Well three more games yet to watch tonight so it should get better than this. By the way from the silence in the building Bridgeport should have been labeled the "bracket of death". Quote
brianvf Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Any updates would be greatly appreciated. I'm stuck here at work. Quote
jodcon Posted March 25, 2011 Author Posted March 25, 2011 Any updates would be greatly appreciated. I'm stuck here at work. 2:19 into the 3rd, still 1-0 Daloot. Quote
RedFrog Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Game getting interesting now that they haven't called a penalty in a while....good chances for both teams. Oops...now a penalty...don't know who on yet. Quote
