scpa0305 Posted Sunday at 03:29 PM Posted Sunday at 03:29 PM I’m still blown away Laurila didn’t go until the 5th. He should have went late second to 3-4. I’d bet top $ he plays in the nhl for at least 7-8 years 3 1 Quote

Our staff to recruit him, as well as the NTDP borrowing him for a weekend. It'd be interesting to know what his role was this year in Muskegon. 1 Quote

brianvf Posted yesterday at 02:17 AM Posted yesterday at 02:17 AM Projections for 2026 draft already coming out. I'm really interested to see how Verhoeff handles the jump to NCAA as a really young Dman. 1 3 Quote

AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted yesterday at 02:45 PM Posted yesterday at 02:45 PM https://www.bostonglobe.com/2025/06/29/sports/bruins-development-camp-players-to-watch/ Will Zellers, LW One of the top prospects acquired in Boston’s trade-deadline teardown in March, Zellers has elevated his stock since being acquired from the Avalanche in the Charlie Coyle deal. The 2024 third-round pick was a force last season with Green Bay Gamblers — winning USHL Player of the Year honors after compiling 44 goals and 71 points in 52 games. The only players to score more goals than Zellers since the 2001-02 season? Kevin Roy (54), Matt Coronato (48), Macklin Celebrini (46), Thomas Vanek (46), and Rem Pitlick (46). The 5-10 Zellers has a dangerous release, while also possessing the willingness to skate in Grade-A ice to cash in on quality chances. For a Bruins team short on high-end offensive talent, Zellers — who will play at the University of North Dakota in the fall — has the potential to be a 25-goal regular. 3 Quote

Hes young and has a lot of time. If he’s considered a top 45 pick now, imagine what a big year and 20-30 lbs would do for his draft stock. 1 Quote
nascar99 Posted yesterday at 03:48 PM Posted yesterday at 03:48 PM A little update on Zellers and Simpson from our eastern friend Mark Divver. 3 Quote
brianvf Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I feel like going the USHL route might better develop his defensive side and 200ft game. 1 Quote
AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Tri City gave up a first round slot in the USHL draft a few years ago to tender him. There was a rumor on here they wouldn't let him "before and after" the HS season so he may not want to play for them. Vancouver is a top 5 hockey city in the world but also insanely expensive. Might come down to the better billet arrangement. 1 Quote

brianvf Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Odds of Zellers, Reschny, and Verhoeff all being on the NCHC All-Frosh team at the end of the season? I'd say pretty good. 2 1 Quote

But man, Vancouver is beautiful! Quote
brianvf Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Some quotes from that Heil article indicate that Dane visited Heil as well after he got the job. Sounds like Dane has been visiting recruits and commits all over since his hire. Good to see/hear. On going back to the USHL for one more year: Quote "My decision to go back to Madison was based a lot on the opportunity I'm going to get by going back there," Heil said. "You can't trade that experience in, just getting a lot of games. (I want to) have a full year of more development, try to dominate, then bring that into North Dakota the following year and be ready to run with the net right away." Quote "It was tough seeing that, getting recruited by the staff of Brad, Dane and Karl," Heil said. "Karl was a big reason for me choosing North Dakota. But then the change happens and you just have to mentally re-commit to the coaches that are there. The one thing that stays the same is that it's North Dakota. Who wouldn't want to play there?" After Jackson was hired, he visited Heil in Madison. Heil also said he was comfortable with the staff Jackson put in place. 1 1 Quote
