jimdahl
I have a rule if you can't say something to their face why post in on message board or blog? You can give constructive criticism but some of this stuff is down right hateful and mean. Thank you. I couldn't agree more.
tnt
I don't want to answer for anyone, but I seem to recall Erik Johnson saying he wasn't being used like he should be. I think he said that while he was there though. I do think that stuff like that goes on at every program and it is just more visible with star players and most time the comments are kept behind closed doors. petey23
IMO it probably was more aptly used for Edina 20-30 years ago. Now, I'd say that is more deserved in some of the west and south-west suburbs. Every Day I Need Attention
Goon
Thank you. I couldn't agree more. Could you imagine Joe Q Public walking up to big Joe Finley and saying something vile to him. It's just socially unacceptable. As it should be on a blog or message board, my rule if you can't say it to their face it probably isn't acceptable to say it. words have consequences. I also found out through emails from many people, some of which are family members that many people read Sioux sports and the various hockey fan blogs to include mine. I would say a cake eater is a primma donna without any grit. Someone who has had a lot handed to them without working for it, kinda like an entitlement. A player like that will not play for the Fighting Sioux.
redwing77
Thanks for playing Fighting Sioux Hockey Joe. I always felt bad when those midgets ran into your elbows and fell down. Have fun in the next level. What pissed me off about that is that most of the time the WCHA clowns called Finley for elbowing! What do they expect Finley to do, skate hunched over or skate with his arms above his head? And, no I haven't seen the Facebook group, but I take FB with a grain of salt. FB is another avenue for the immature and idiotic to voice their stupid and worthless opinions. I freely admit that I use it, but I have never formed a group and don't belong to any group that spends any time ripping on anything. FB keeps me in contact with people that live elsewhere around the country. I do not do searches on UND players. I expect that sort of hate filled nonsense. gopherz
Big Joe, I'm still in your head from the Final 5. You will never forget me.
NorthDakotaHockey
Big Joe, I'm still in your head from the Final 5. You will never forget me. I am pretty sure that Big Joe does not waste his time on this paltry board and that he is well beyond the Final 5. You must have run into him on Thursday night before you were escorted from the building with the chants of WCHA fans delighted that they would not have to hear the shameful Drouser the rest of the weekend? I am also pretty sure that Big Joe has long long forgotten you my little one, that is, if you were ever even in his realm of consciousness at all. You, however, apparently will never forget him, or your secret desire for and love of all things Sioux. Go back to your North Dakota roots. Minnesota has little to offer you, other than possibly a cut rate degree if you are so capable.

Goon
I am pretty sure that Big Joe does not waste his time on this paltry board and that he is well beyond the Final 5. I know from the past that the players do read this board from time to time as well as their parents and family members (to include extended family) While they might not see an individual post like the one above they do check out the board from time to time just to see what the fans are concerned about. Your right, I remember Mike Prpich posting a thread on here thanking the fans after the Fighting Sioux season came to close his senior year. or was that a phony? or maybe I'm just making it up? You are certainly right Goon, as is almost always the case. However, I did not say that Joe does not read the board, only that he does not waste his time on the board. Much unlike you and me. We are time wasters. Big Joe is not.

Happy Gilmore
Out of curiousity, what players from other programs ripped their coach and program when they left and what did they say? There haven't been any. This is just another fabrication by Rick.

Goon
I wonder if Paukovich would agree? Is he is Sioux hockey player? Paukovich is a player that has a history of CFB's and a lot of Sioux fans and former players don't hold him in very high regard. So what the hell is your point? I suppose could liken it to a blogger attacking a whole fan base and saying that the team didn't belong in the NCAA frozen four and that the team didn't belong in the NCAA tourney. He's an instigator, Goon. Just like some posters in the past. Only I think Happy Gilmore is slightly more intelligent. By wording everything carefully, he's able to get your goat without saying anything not in alliance with board policies. I don't think he's a Sioux fan, or if he is, he's just looking for a rise out of people. Take it with a grain of salt. We've seen a lot worse than he... And there is some sense to what he says. We were brutal to Paukovich, but I think Goon counters it well by saying the fact that Finley has never done anything closely resembling what Paukovich did. Paukovich, if it truly is the same one, even came to DU with a count of criminal sexual misconduct having been served as a minor (which more than likely means it's no longer on his record). But, those thinks (Paukovich included) pass in time.
