Goon
He did correctly predict that Duncan wouldn't even score 10 goals without Oshie. Oh wait...oops. Anyone can write anything they want but I don't know where he is going to find out if the Blues are after Duncan or not. Unless he is friends with JD. siouxforce19
for Bruess they wanted him to play in the ECHL and didn't want to. As for Ducan how the hell is Chris going to know this? It was reported on hockeybuzz.com from one of the Blues bloggers that Duncan hasn't heard from the Blues. I read somewhere else he's heard from a few other teams though. whatever thats worth. Goon
yeah, thats the one. Here is that post you were talking about. Former Hobey Baker award winner Ryan Duncan who is also done at UND has received interest from multiple clubs. Duncan, who participated in the Blues prospect camp a few summer
redwing77
Plus, maybe he's actually better than the others listed. I doubt he'd sign with a team and then settle for a spot in the ECHL or IHL because the team has other goalies in their system. Pretty sure that is the case with every single person that signs a contract or gets a tryout. They have to beat someone out. You're probably right. I like Thiessen. He definitely has upside. I'm curious about Chad Johnson though. UAF has basically him and Dion Knelson, who is, at best, a marginal pro prospect a lot like Kai Kantola was/is (talk about a disappearing act). By the way, Knelsen's scoresheet would place him tied for 8th with Ryan Martens in scoring if he were a Sioux. That's only relevant because Knelsen was UAF's leading scorer. Tied for 1st in Goals and Tied for 1st in Assists. I think that raises Johnson's stock. Thiessen, Curry, and Brown had better teams in front of them than Johnson did. As for Duncan, who knows. All I know is what I read. As for Bruess, it just has me scratching my head. He doesn't want to play in the ECHL? This reaks of a poor decision by Bruess and his family advisor. Mostly his advisor. Now Bruess faces the prospect of trying to latch onto some other AHL franchise (not likely) or playing overseas or finishing college on his own dime or just entering the work force. Goon
I hope more people leave from Denver other than just Bozak Sounds like Rhett R is thinking pretty hard about it. Must be getting some interest from the Islanders. Speaking of Islanders and early departures Kyle Okposo is like NY's top scorer.

Not saying he can't, but seriously... if the Islanders were any more pathetic, they'd turn into the Timberwolves.... although I think the Islanders are better coached. brianvf
Can't say I'm surprised about that one. UMD just lost a couple positions in the WCHA for next season...
tho0505
That is such a blow to UMD. Thats too bad, they have a good recruiting class coming in too
brianvf
Not really early departures...but it could certainly lead to some... A UW poster on USCHO posted their returning lineup plus their recruits that they have coming in for next year. Their roster next season will have 19 forwards, 9 defense, and 2 goalies. A 30 player roster with 7 forwards and 3 dmen sitting EVERY NIGHT. Wow! Eaves has been burned with the over-recruiting before, but that's just crazy. One, he's a great player. Two, it would prevent him from scoring SHG on us.

redwing77
Though it is tough to see Stalock go, he was part of what probably prolonged Sandelin's career at UMD. IIRC, he was on shaky ground before he came along. Also, Hjelle isn't a bad goaltender from what I hear.
