31-9
How Parise and Zajac spent their Christmas: "Zach Parise and Zajac spent Christmas with linemate Jamie Langenbrunner and his family, and Parise, who has 14 goals, came up worse for wear. Playing street hockey with the kids, Parise's nose was bloodied by Langenbrunner's son" Also, an article on the Dynamic Duo

jimdahl
Saw this article about Goehring on the front page of NHL.com just now: Goehring puts bad start behind him Goehring, in his first year with the Admirals, left his new employers a little cold with a couple of early clunkers. ... That left him with a 9.92 goals-against average, a .579 save percentage and a lot of questions.More importantly, Goehring is on his way to becoming something he's never been as a pro - a clear No. 1. At a scrappy 5-foot-8, he was used as a temporary plug-in during stints with Syracuse and San Antonio. This season, he's already played in 22 Admirals contests and right now looks like a workhorse the rest of the way. Luckily for Milwaukee, Goehring's play rises in step with the stakes. He's arguably the best shootout goalie in the AHL (11-4 the last three seasons), and five of his 10 wins this season have come in overtime or in a shootout. BringDeanBack
I think Blake has like a 5 or 6 game points streak right now and he is seriously making a statement. I wish the Wild would sign him. I hope he stays where he is at. The Islanders were the first team to give him a true chance in the NHL. The Wild would just ruin his offensive game by making him play that boring defensive style of hockey.
31-9
Pierre McGuire interview w./ the "Pride of North Dakota" link If anyone's wondering why Parise cracks up a couple minutes into it, if you listen carefully you can hear some of the Devils making fun of them, specifically Scott Gomez who says "that's the cutest thing I've ever seen . . . that could be a Christmas card."
