redwing77 Posted December 6, 2008 Share Posted December 6, 2008 As was I. Hoeffel and Fairchild never impressed me. Maybe they've stepped up their play as of late though. Hoeffel hasn't scored like projected, but neither has several Gopher players like White, Howe, etc. Fairchild isn't a dominant defenseman like Ballard, Leopold, and even Goligoski were. However, he's certainly not bad. It is surprising to me, hearing on how much better MJs are at producing top tier talent, that there was only one US born defensemen among them worth considering for the U20 team this year. I'd love to know if someone has seen him play in the USHL and could tell me more about his game. Maybe he's not a goal scorer, but I wouldn't know that without seeing him. According to the USA Hockey site he played in all 25 games through December 7. However, it says he has 0 penalty minutes which would be nearly impossible, especially on D. i mis spoke as if you check the usa under 18 vs sioux thread i listed the stats that he has played all 25 games. the stat page i had been checking wasnt updated for nicks stats at the time so my bad. thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
