WiSioux Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 I just got an email from the Sioux Crew/Athletic Department newsletter and this was attached at the bottom of it: UND Athletics and the Ralph Engelstad Arena are working on a WHITE-OUT promotion for the WCHA Playoffs and more information on this promotion will be made available as the details are confirmed. Hopefully this is something that they can do because it would be really cool to see! Just thought I'd start getting the word out now Quote

Big A HG Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 By the sounds of it, they are trying to find sponsors for the t-shirts Quote

Stromer Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 I hope they get this going, but I still will be wearing black like last time. Which color did we win with in Dec? Quote
HeidiSioux62 Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 OK, I'm out of the loop - what is the white out promotion? Quote
jimdahl Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 OK, I'm out of the loop - what is the white out promotion? See White out in Grand Forks? thread, and the subsequent Green/White weekend Quote
gordwiser Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 I was disappointed in the Gopher weekend attempt at the white out/green out. There definitely needs to be someone to step up and provide a shirt everyone can put on for this to actually have a chance to work. Quote

Dean Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 OK, I'm out of the loop - what is the white out promotion? It's a rip-off promotion during the playoffs that originated with the Winnipeg Jets having all of the fans wearing white. Quote
mikeypat15 Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Possible sponsors: UND (Duh?) Rydell (Local) Bremer (Kinda local) Coca-Cola (They'll sponsor anything) Standing Rock/Spirit Lake (Hmmm? Doubt it) Jonathan Toews (He's making 875,000) Quote

gopherz Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Hey now AZ....haha Just for that, I hope the Gophers come to town so I can come wearing Maroon and stand out even more. Quote

RexBanner Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Never said there was anything wrong with ripping this idea off... North Dakota has been rip off free since they got rid of the Blackhawks logo. Quote

Bob in Wisconsin Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Never said there was anything wrong with ripping this idea off... I think it's safe to assume whenever someone uses the term "ripping off" or "rip-off", it has a negative connotation with it. So you don't have to say "It's a rip-off promotion during the playoffs that originated with the Winnipeg Jets having all of the fans wearing white, and thats wrong." Quote

If you rip off my t-shirt its wrong. But if you rip off my rip-off T-shirt its OK. Quote
