  1. As well as tPB's. http://www.umdpenaltybox.com/MessBoard/index.php
  2. I don't know, lots of people around here said that there will never be a Finley vs. Wheeler rematch because Wheeler would rot away in the AHL.
  3. Might as well call the Gophers Murder Inc.
  4. It sounds like Goofy fans really don't care anymore.
  5. I have fans from wcha teams confront me at the urinal all the time. Sounds like you handled that a**hat well.
  6. Yep, because the stereotype of arrogant Gophers is still rampant, so can this one too.
  7. The only similarity between the two schools are the "priviledged" students and alumni who truly believe they are the best of the best in the country. I have two good friends who attend BC and they feel the same way I do in regards to the attitudes of people who go to school there. They truly believe they are better than others simply because they attend a historic private school. The same goes for Holy Cross, only worse. This is why I could never understand the Holy Cross fascination. It is a school that is the complete opposite of UND, and one whose students probably have a very low opinion of society in the Upper Mid-West. If one thinks that people in the Minneapolis area have the misinformed view of Grand forks being hickville, just think what people who pay $32,000+ a year to attend Holy Cross think of the area. Of course, this is a completely stereotypical analysis, and I'm sure there are many people who don't fit this description at both schools.
  8. They don't sell Mercedes-Benz in the middle of nowhere so yes, he will be waiting until he gets to St.Louis.
  9. And the fact that the last one made it look like it was the Montreal Canadiens playing Thief River Falls High School.
  10. ...and a Hershey bar used to be a nickel.
  11. Nor will GF. High school sports and NCAA hockey are pretty much as low on the national radar as you can get. There is no way this is going to a town that doesn't have a professional team competing in a prime time league, i.e NHL, NFL, MLB. Not saying a town has to have a pro team to be a "titletown", but the national audience is pretty short sighted--they measure success in Superbowls and and World Series.
  12. Didn't UM have frozen four appearances in '02, '03,'04, and '05, much like the Sioux the past 4 years. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
  13. Or the biggest rivalry in the country, Wisconsin vs. MN.
  14. Well, at least we can rest assured that you were not an English student.
  15. I thought the consensus was that college hockey fans should not listen to anything INCH says.
  16. Wouldn't it be a bigger rip on Gopher fans to go after the starting goalie, rather than the one that has been and will continue to ride the pines?
  17. Would it make you feel better if they have the people this year handing out the posters wearing Holy Cross jerseys with blond permed hair and manicures, because I'm sure 2 years from now Gopher fans won't be pissed off about that anymore but you will still be crying about the misprinted poster.
  18. I believe so, and they all know that putting the Gophers in the Friday night game is good for business just the same as if the tourney was in Grand Forks and the Sioux were in the night game. Each program gets a cut of the profits, so the coaches obviously want to see the most ideal combination of teams on Friday.
  19. I think you have to actually be in a position to go far in the Tourney to be called a choker...can't say Minnesota has ever been in that situation this year.
  20. Kind of Ironic that the Carlson brothers who played two of the Hanson brothers are from everyone's favorite state of Minnesota . I have heard that some of the things in the movie are based on their WHL exploits, but I'm sure that dramatization is an understatement.
  21. The Kohl Center makes more sense. The 14,000 seat capacity in a region known for a strong following of hockey is pretty attractive to host the Wild.
