I've closed out completely a few times and opened a new window so I wasn't so far behind the actual action.

That would have been the perfect drive if we could have capped it off with a TD, but still ground out some clock and scored. Also perfect if Studs didn't get hurt, but I guess we may get to see how Bartels looks huh.

This is likely going to be a nail biter down to the end. I won't feel comfortable unless we have a 14-15 point lead with 4 minutes to go. Just don't it over and we will likely be fine.

Hope the feed is better in the second half, nearly unwatchable towards the end of the second quarter.

This game was set up to be a perfect disaster with our depleted secondary, and our 3 TO and penalties are making this game what many of us were worried about. We normally beat this team, but we may not today unless we step it up.

I'm having buffering issues also. We are in some serious trouble in this game due to 3 TO's. We may need 40 points to win this one.

Yep 14-6 UND end of first Quarter. Mine has buffered a few times....but hasn't been too bad....yet.

Yeah the line did give Studs a ton of time on that TD pass play...that was awesome. After a crappy start I was seriously worried, we've rebounded nicely....keep it going!

I agree...that was a good play call...should have been a TD. Ridiculously horrible throw.

That throw right there is why people question sometimes who the starting QB should be, a good throw would have been a TD the way it sounds. Instead it was an easy INT.

Most of you are likely at the game today, but here is a thread for those of us that are not. Hope the secondary stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.....and ate their Wheaties this morning so they can make some big plays.

34 - 27 UND Defense gives up a few big plays defensively due to depleted secondary, but we rush for 300 yards.

Not sure who will or won't be ready to play this weekend, but I was thinking the other day that we could possibly have 8 guys that would have been considered starters to open the season that won't be playing this weekend due to leaving the team or injury. Here I thought we had the injury bug last year and got that out of the way.

Gotta love technology, watching the game from a tiki bar on the sand in Cancun. Missed that long run, but seems like we are out playing them.....we need to make some plays in the second half and pull this game out!

24 - 17 PSU I'm in Cancun so won't be watching the game, but I hope our offense plays well.....if the do we can certainly win. I'm hoping Studs plays really well to quite the doubters as well so that we can feel confident in our QB going into games.

Was nice to win, but the game at Portland State next weekend could get out of hand being on the road. Let's hope they step up even more next week. Kick coverage has been horrible all year, need to get that improved for sure.

Lucked out with that penalty on the fake field goal....that would have been a big gainer.

Good question......we may be in the same situation at the end of this year...as we were last year, wondering if we have the QB we need to really be a strong team. Hopefully he can really progress throughout the year. It sure would be nice to start a year knowing we've got 'The Guy" at QB.

Gotcha, Bartels certainly would have made a few better throws and quicker reads than he has. Studs running ability is nice....but if he doesn't get better in the passing game.....not good.

He very well may play a fair amount this year. But from what I've seen a couple people post, that he isn't fully ready yet. He will end up being a beast....but at this point when he isn't fully ready he may only be marginally better than what we have now. I'd rather have him for an extra year when he is a beast all year. Just my opinion. If he plays a lot and plays great this year and we make the playoffs I'll definitely be proven wrong, and I sure hope that happens!
