We've had some second half let downs, but I don't think it's going to happen here. For one, Cal Poly is a running team so that bodes well, plus our guys know what this game means. They will stay focused until the end. I certainly don't think it's over, but I do think our team will stay focused.

Yeah it makes me nervous having to give Smith so many carries with Oliviera out.....maybe Norberg should be getting those carries. Not sure if I totally trust Smith at RB.

That drive right there is the epidemy of what Bubba is building this offense to be.....perfect drive!! Was even better than an 80 yard Santiago run as it chewed clock.

We've all been frustrated from time to time this year, it has been an up and down year. But yeah there are a couple posters who have made some pretty harsh posts like the ones above. It's funny how some posters only come on here after we've had a bad game and lost, and like to bash the coaches, players and program. But they never seem to show up and post after a good game and we've won. It's like they sit and lurk until we have a bad game and things look down, then they are all about posting stuff......but not after a win. I can't remember the one guy who said a few weeks ago that he sees us only winning 53 games over the next 10 years, which is the one I think you are referring to about the 6 wins is the ceiling. I was so wishing there was a way to bet him on that, i would have taken that bet in a minute.

I wonder if Sweeney may have coined a new phrase, on one of the touchdown highlights on a long TD run he said....."So long Santiago!" Since I'm usually watching and not listening to the radio broadcast, I'm not sure if that is the first time he said it or not.

I hear ya, I'm real glad they took him out and some others later, but it would have been fun to see what he could have done in a full 4 quarter game with the offense going all out the whole time. Likely would have been a 300 yard game for him. That kid alone is worth the price of admission. Of course he can't do it alone though, some great blocking by the line....and Studs with some nice passing is opening things up. This....is....fun.

I agree. The point I was making on my post was we don't need Montana to lose this week, we just need PSU to beat EWU, which to me seems like a pretty good chance they would, but you just never know. If PSU wins and we win, we are at worst the 4th team in the Big Sky and I would think would have a very good shot at the playoffs. Still sucks thinking of what could have been if we would have held on for just one of those games against Weber or ISU.
