UND 122 - Webert 66 Total yards in the first half.
-
Yep.....we have been, however we've been moving it on the ground fairly well....which is obviously good. Hopefully that will open up some nice pass plays on 1st and 2nd down here sometime soon.
-
Man 43 yard kick return......geez we've had poor kick coverage all year. Sounds like flag though so might be coming back. Ball is going back to the 15 or Weber. We were bailed out by penalty on long kick return again.

How the heck can they be telecasting the game locally....but not be able to provide a flipping feed!!
-
Santiago TD.....woohoo!!!
-
This sucks.....I wanted to see how Bartels looks......not just listen to it.
-
Exactly....somebody needs to be held accountable for this. Who knows who's fault it is....but this shouldn't happen. From what it sounds the game is being broadcast on local tv.....so this feed should be going!
-
Here after the crappy feed last week....thought I would actually get to WATCH the game this week....Ugh! I'm not seeing it either.
-
I was going to go 27-17 UND....but with Reyes still out I'm going 27-24 UND. Let's be on the positive side of the TO's this week, if we are I think we win. I like this matchup better than our matchup last week.

Wow talk about some crappy luck we are having with our QB's.....that means within about a 12 game span of games.....we would have 3 QB's who got knocked out for the rest of the year. We've had some crappy luck in general with injuries the last year or so to important players.....but losing 3 QB's for the year in 12 games......man that sucks.

I like the idea of that too. However since Santiago is a true freshman, I wonder if they are staying away from that.........so that he doesn't have to be focusing on two positions instead of just RB. They could certainly limit it so that there were only a couple of plays for him at wide out so that it didn't over load him with plays to remember. However with limited reps at wide out, next thing you know he isn't lined up properly or something and we get a flag. With that said it would be nice to see both of them on the field at the same time, and maybe something that will be coming down the road. I wonder what the longer term plan is going to be with Smith other than the jet sweep, to take advantage of his speed.

If our two starting safeties played Saturday.....we win the game. I am disappointed however that our offense didn't pick up the slack more and grind out more offense in the second half. We don't have the depth we need yet, Bubba has only had one recruiting class.....which a number of true freshman are already contributing. I know you are not suppose to blame injuries, but when you don't have the depth you need and you have a big drop off in talent and experience at safety, that has a direct impact on the game especially on a pass heavy team. Part of me wondered when we hired Bubba, if we were just hiring him because he is a UND guy, so I get that. But from everything I've seen he appears to be a good head coach and recruiter and things definitely appear to be going in the right direction. We won't know for a couple more years though what the true end results are.

Glad to hear Weber primarily likes to run the ball, should be a good matchup for us. Let's have NO turnovers this week. Studsrud's athletic and running ability has been nice and he has a winning record for us. Can't say that I wanted Bartels to start over him, but with some of Studs poor throws and never looking off his first option.......a guy can't help but wonder if a better passing attack would result in a net overall gain for our offense even if the QB doesn't get as many rushing yards. I guess now we have no choice and will find out how it goes. Bartels gets a full week of starter reps.....and has played before.....so it's his chance to show us what he's got. Let's just win this one.....I don't want to give up hope on the playoffs yet!
-
Agreed.....TO's were a big part of it. Having a -3 in TO margin.......historically you probably have a 15-20% chance of winning (I didn't look those stats up.....just guessing).
-
It sure is nice having a RB that can break a long one at any time. However he really needs to work on holding onto the ball, I'm sure that will improve (well I hope).
-
3 starters out against a pass happy team, including two of our safeties......wasn't expecting our D to shine today, but to just do enough. 3 TO's and the offense is what let us down, but yes I wish the D could have made at least 1 big play at the end of the day to maybe come up with a pick or something. You can say next man up all you want, but in some cases the next man up is just not as good as the guy that was there especially when they haven't had the experience or time on the field. ISU was going to put up some points today given this matchup and the situation. Given all that I'm still as pissed/frustrated/disappointed as anyone. Just sucks because if we win this.....very good chance we make the playoffs.
-
2 guys with very little experience playing at safety.....against a pass happy team. This is not completely unexpected, in my opinion.
-
Sounds like maybe pass interference but not called, ISU ball.....game over. Sounds like a bad call.
-
Well 4th and 6......this is the game....1:00 to go. Ball at around the 39 I think?
-
Well....this drive could determine if we make the playoffs or not.
-
Well.....this is going to be a heartbreaking loss.
-
2 point conversion good.....ISU up 37-31
-
They are going through us like a hot knife through butter.
-
First down....Ugh! But...they are going to review!
