If we see another 4 offensive quarters like the last 6, we really have to start questioning everybody on the offensive side of the ball, including the coaches. I really hope we turn it around so that we don't have to go there, but man I just get pissed when I think how bad we've looked for 6 quarters. 2nd half verses Drake excuse = we let up. 4 quarters against NDSU = they are a really good defense and we played poorly. Those are the excuses that can be used. No more excuses going forward!! Look like something that resembles an FCS offense!! Figure it out!!

Where do we go from here......well most of us would have taken 2-1 after the first three games. However each of the last two games left a real bad taste in our mouths. 6 horrendous offensive quarters. We stunk it up offensively last year for the first 3rd of the season but we got better. Both the players and coaches really need to step it up, and it will go back to the cliché I guess.......they all need to get back to work very hard....Day by Day. They are going to have to mix a few things up on offense though, the last 6 quarters just don't come close to cutting it.

Amen to the banning of mj23 and similar posters. Let NDSU spout for a few days since we just played them....and then get them off here. They can come back in 2019, but this is a UND site and it gets really old having them come on here and brag about NDSU and bash us. I think most of us come here to talk about Sioux football, not argue and start fights. But when they come in here and start with their crap, it is kind of hard not to sometimes.

Can you imagine if a UND player broke NDSU's starting safeties leg with that hit? If they didn't go on to win a championship, we would hear for years how UND's dirty play stole a championship from NDSU. I don't think NDSU coaches players to hit or play dirty, the kid may be a good kid......but that was a bad hit. You cannot blame us for calling it out as such because you guys would have gone nuts if a UND player did it to you.

I have no problem with Klieman's comments in regards to that, not one bit. I can see his point and I really don't think it is a big deal or him whining or complaining.

To be fair....the same thing could have been said about Mollberg last year.....except not after 3 halves......more like 4-5 full games. Not saying Mollberg shouldn't play now though, I'm up for whatever gets our offense moving.

So is it going to be worth blowing Smith's redshirt this year?

If you.....one of the bigger trolls and UND bashers/Bison braggers out there......can only say......."Tough to tell what he was thinking", then we know it was a bad hit.

So should people across the country quit watching high school football, DII football......and quit caring about all football what so ever except for FBS and NFL? There is good football played on most all levels. I think we do get your point that FCS is not FBS......and our hockey is at the top collegiate level. I think it's ok to care about FCS football.....but yes it needs to be kept in perspective.

I am bewildered as well about our offense. How did we go from running all over WY (and yes I know they are not very good, but I'm sure the entire 2011 Bison class will post again to remind us) and being a fumble away from going up on Drake 28-0 at half, to going to almost complete ineptitude? It's like somebody flipped a switch at halftime against Drake, they need to get that switch flipped back on. Yes NDSU is good, but I agree we should be better than that and Drake did the same thing against us in the second half.

Maybe call some screen plays if the line isn't blocking? Maybe a quick hitter to the TE over the middle. or maybe anything over the middle instead of throwing out routes that they were all over us. Or maybe getting Stanley lined up against their small corner 1 on 1 and throwing it up and letting him make a play. Seems like I recall the write up saying you need to beat the Tampa 2 over the middle, to me it seemed like all we threw were passes to the outside. I do realize it's pretty hard when you aren't blocking anybody, to call plays....I get that. Now maybe some of those plays were called and I missed it. I went to the bathroom when we punted and recovered the ball, and then it sounds like we had a pass play over the middle to get us down to the goal line, I missed the recovery and that pass. But from what it sounds like, that was the exact type of pass I had been yelling for up to that point and after that point. I know it's easy to be an armchair QB, but you really can't argue I would have called a worse game.

I had somewhat defended Rudolph in the past, but would now have to agree with others.....that was some pathetic play calling. I could have been given UND's play list an hour before the game and chosen better plays than that. Execution was horrible, but still.......the play calling wasn't helping anything. We are as bad on offense now as we were to start the year last year, didn't think we'd go back to that level of ineptitude. Our offense was horrible to start the year last year, which was understandable given the situation. We did improve a lot by the end of the year, sure hope we improve a LOT this year from where we are now. But am extremely disappointed that we are back to a zero starting point on offense.

Dang it....went to two websites......didn't see this game even listed, I was going to put some money on that spread. Oh well...time to head to the watch party. Go UND!!!

It is so obvious that this is more than "just another game", and smart people on both the UND and NDSU side knew this and would acknowledge it. But those few NDSU people that wouldn't acknowledge it..........I wonder where they are.

I would agree, if Wentz is off target and has a rough game.....it could be close. But if he is firing bullets and everything is on the money, and if he is picking up 5-10 yards at will on scrambles we are in trouble. He'll get a few good scrambles for sure, just hopefully not all day long. And for cripes sakes....if they have 3rd and goal from the 5 -7 yard line.....watch the QB keeper! I would think that our coaches have seen that enough and would be on to that, but it's amazing how many other teams have let Wentz/Jensen waltz into the end zone on those.

The 1991 game in Fargo.......UND lost but that was a great game to watch. Lots of offense, back and forth. NDSU went up by 7 with a couple of minutes left, maybe less. UND drove down the field and got down to about the 5 or 10 yard line if I recall, and failed to convert on 4th and goal as time expired. Was just a great game to watch, and was the only one I saw at Dacotah Field.

I'll revise slightly my 31-13 prediction from a month or two ago and say 27-13 NDSU. Our offense will show more life than we did in the second half last week and they will be able to move the ball a little. My hope is that UND wins 21-20.

I remember that squib kick......that one sucked.....for us.

So what are your favorite Sioux - Bison football game memories from the past? I went to UND from 90-94 so lots of great games, some wins some losses. But being out on the field when the brought down the goal posts was pretty certainly quite the memory.

With all of those fumbles last week, I'm probably going to be a little nervous every time our offense gets the ball like I was last year, hoping nothing bad happens. Hopefully it is much more like the WY game where every time we get the ball......I'm expecting something good to happen. Studs hasn't thrown a pick yet....hopefully he can keep that going.

Actually I can read, but in that case I did read it to quickly and didn't catch what you really said/meant, so that so that is my bad. My mom is an English teacher.....she wouldn't be proud.
