Fruend or Fruechte, would be an interesting poll. The most recent frustration has been with Fruechte though, so Danny would probably win in that poll. If the poll was taken halfway through the season though, might have been Fruechte leading the poll?

Right, Davis from SDSU got drafted didnt he, and made a roster. NDSU and SDSU have had a fair amount of guys drafted recently, which helps UND and USD get eyes on them as well as the MVFC. Guys like Rucker and others that really show out will get plenty of eyes on them, and lots of playing time.

Yep. I know there was one game for sure where he drilled a 47 harder or more for the win or tie with only a few seconds on the clock. He definitely made some clutch kicks. I do agree though that we often remember things or players maybe being better than they were sometimes. But in this case the distance of the kicks does plays into it. Turns out Elrichs had the best percentage on XP's of them all. Sometimes it's when those misses occur though, if its not a close game people dont remember the miss because it didnt matter.

Bobcats got TD on their first two drives. Up 13-0.

He's definitely got that link saved in his favorites so he can bust it out on a moments notice.

Two huge games to end the season. Unless they lose a lot, YSU will definitely be tough on the road with Beau coming back. It's nice to not have to automatically chalk this up as a loss like we did before. Will be a good game.

Yeah WAY too early for them to do 2026 season predictions, especially in today's age with the portal and us not even knowing who will be on the roster yet. They usually do that in an August podcast.
-
Every year when a couple good UND players enter the portal, we all often freak out, which is probably normal. But its never really been a huge landslide of important players leaving, even under Bubba. I could be wrong, but I think most if not every year.....in the end we came out as a net positive in the portal, or at least even. I'm sure it will eventually happen where we end up in a worse spot, but thinking more times than not it will be a net positive...especially under Schmidt, and now with all of the nice facilities. Some guys over the years will probably jump to FBS, it'll happen. Just dont want really good players to go to another FCS team.
-
Never want to lose any prime time players, but if we limit it to just those three.....I think our net transfer portal influx will be a net positive for the year in the end. As has been mentioned, Siedl was likely gone before the year started. Blueiett graduated. My guess is wherever Flemming goes his numbers will be less next year, a lot less if he goes FBS IMO. Although would rather him do that than an FCS competitor. Some of the guys leaving was probably needed and just gives us more room for the right additions.

Once season is over, and/or we lose in the playoffs they typically dont do one to recap the last game.

Agree, Schmidt will own the crappy offensive calls or crappy red zone performance next year if its like this year.

I totally agree with that first paragraph. Was going to root for Tarleton until how cocky they seem to be this past week. I definitely do not want USD to win it. I think Illinois State probably has the best shot to knock off some of the other big names, so I'll be rooting for them. Keep it in the MVFC and I dont have any strong dislike for them at this point. If its a Montana school, definitely Bobcats over Griz. Griz fans are annoying enough the way it is.

Ouch, that sucks. We targeted him a lot and he had a great year, I guess that wasn't good enough for him. Lame.

Wasn't there some grumbling of SS not being happy about something right before the season even started? I remember posting back around August....something along the lines that I think SS should start over Z as he is the most talented back we've got, and ride him as much as we feel we need to because he's probably gone after this year. I would agree that I can't see him being a starting RB at an FCS school because of his size. Although for his size he really ran tough, definitely a talented kid. Definitely will be a huge kick in the ass if he goes to any of the Dakota or Montana schools.

WOW those stats are pretty staggering.

Playoffs Second Round 12/6/25: UND @ Tarleton State
Sioux94 replied to UND-FB-FAN's topic in Football
I got a little heat during the week when I said there was too much Kelly Green goggles on.....thinking that our offense would magically start rolling this week due to Z being back, or Romfo in...etc.. Usually there is enough negativity on this board so I never have to be. But I felt we'd would struggle to score 20 points today. I was thinking 31-24 Tarelton today, giving us benefit of the doubt and actually see scoring 24 against them. 7 of our points came from getting the ball at the 10 yard line. I had seen nothing leading into the week that felt we'd somehow revert to the UND offense from earlier in the year. I am not surprised one bit in the game today. Our defense was really good, our offense sucked....like it has for weeks now. In my opinion today's offense being inept again, solidified we need a change at OC. -

I said this the other day. Need to go 3 wide...way wide...less guys in the box...and run it -

Even if we don't ditch it completely, run some run plays straight handoff with no pass option. Do it with 3 WR spread out, less guys in the box, let our OL try and pound it down their throats. -
Was he considered on the hot seat as this year went along? Think they are 6-5.

Playoffs Second Round 12/6/25: UND @ Tarleton State

Definitely an unusual series of events where....going to Simon may provide the shake up we needed on offense. Im guessing if its 3rd and 3 he wont be throwing fly patterns. I'm hoping for the best, would be great to get to the next round. Our defense is legit, so the offense just has to do enough. If we can mix it up snd get some success on the ground, and get back to zero turnovers on offense (primarily Jerry snd SS the past 5 games). -
Playoffs Second Round 12/6/25: UND @ Tarleton State

They beat Army, who beat Kansas State. What is our signature win, Youngstown? And that is when we were rolling on offense, that is not the case now. Remember when it was 10-6 at the end of the 3rd quarter last week? We get a couple TD'S in 4th quarter and now we are some kind of unstoppable juggernaut? I hope we come out of our slump, but call me not surprised if it is midway through the 2nd quarter and we are feeling just like we felt last week about our offense. -
Playoffs Second Round 12/6/25: UND @ Tarleton State

Have to admit, after Saturday's game I felt there is no way we beat Tarelton. I may be coming around a little, but our offense has been bad. Z being back does help some, but I don't know if Simon is all of the sudden our magical answer to get our offense going again. Call me crazy but Im not 100 percent convinced we see this big offensive improvement this week. For several weeks we've been thinking this is the week we get our offensive Mojo back and it never happens. Our defense has been great though, so maybe offense can score just enough to pull out a win. -
I may be wrong, but I think they did review it and said it wasn't targeting. Not saying it shouldn't have been called, but was thinking they reviewed it. It didn't seem to be nearly as violent of a collision as many hits I've see, for instance than one on Dennis against SDSU. But think it was more that he got hit just right and then his head hit the ground. So it was more like contact from the player and then helmet hit the ground hard right after. I hope Jerry is OK long term, and likely best he doesn't play this weekend.
