  1. Jones deserved it. He can't control himself.
  2. Looked like he was almost another defender out on the court too. Guys such a tool.
  3. I'm just saying that athletics are the Universities biggest marketing tool and the biggest bang for the buck resides in men's BB. I too want success in all sports.
  4. No matter how many hockey titles UND would win, the national attention of one NCAA BB tourney appearance would destroy that of hockey. I do think UND should be focusing even more resources to BB then FCS football but heck even FCS football would generate as much if not more attention then hockey. How many times has NDSU been on ESPN the last 5 years? How about UND? BB would give us the best bang for the $! IMO our rank of sports to focus on should be: 1. Mens BB 2. FCS football 3. Mens hockey
  5. this. When's the last time a UND game of any sport was on ESPN? That would be huge. They stick hockey on ESPNU.

    2016 Season

Anything less then 8-3 next season will be a disappointment.

    Lennon

IMO Lennon was never a great coach anyway. He won with Roger's recruits here and Kill's recruits at SIU. Once those were gone he was very mediocre. His defenses at SIU have become a joke.
  8. Posted in another thread but probably should be here instead. I don't see PSU beating UNI. UNI has just as good a defense if not better then our own. UNI's offense is rolling right now and Bailey is passing it better then he has all year and still gashing teams with the run. I look for UNI to get to the Semi's.

  10. Not getting in really sucks. We were always a bubble team but really think we deserved to get in over EIU or WIU. But it is what is and hopefully it puts a huge chip on the players returning next season! Leave no doubt!
  11. That's not even a pic of their current team. That's like 3 years old!
  12. Wow prayers to his family and friends.
  13. Wasn't my choice but oh well Go Fighting Hawks!
  14. I stand corrected. Didn't know that.
  15. You can't just redshirt someone after they start playing. They have to have a medical redshirt once their playing time has started.
  16. I just don't get it. WTF are the coaches seeing in games or practice to not even give Mollberg a chance?
  17. I think Studs is an OK QB but he is hurt and Bartles flat out stinks and hasn't gotten the job done. Why not give Mollberg a shot? WTF has he done to Rudolph or Bubba to deny him a chance?? I just don't get it.
  18. I had reservations on hiring Bubba. I felt like UND needed a fresh start with a completely new to UND staff. Someone who could come in and clean house so to speak and finally put UND on the path to a legitimate D1 program. I think Bubba is a very good DC but not sure he is HCing material. Time will tell and I'm certainly willing to wait another year or 2. He seems to be getting some things fixed and maybe with another recruiting class or 2 can get this team to the upper end of the BSC. I would say if there isn't significant progress by the end of next season then Bubba's seat will be getting warm. As far as adjusting expectations, I was excited before the season (always am) and got more excited after the 4-1 start then reality hit, along with injuries and the realization that this team doesn't have near enough depth or experience to be a PO caliber team. I'm afraid this season is as good as over and we will be lucky to win another game. Hope I'm wrong!
  19. I'm not sure of Mollberg's running ability post injury but he was always way better then Bartles IMO. Not as fast or as alusive as Studs though.
  20. Very disappointed that the coaching staff hasn't given Mollberg a chance. I mean he can't possibly be any worse then what we saw yesterday from Bartles. Just baffling....and I give a ton of credit to Joe for being as good a team player as possible in such a difficult situation. You know it's got to be eating at him watching the team struggle and not being able to get in there.
  21. Jim LeClair. He only played 2 years at UND but was one of the best players to ever put on a Sioux jersey. Tough to compare players from different era's but I'd still put LeClair above the rest.
  22. The fact is NDSU isn't in the BSC and they are kicking our ass. What exactly does the BSC and schools other then Montana or Montana State offer that the Summit doesn't? The rest of the BSC is on par with the indana alphabet soup schools. I think we would be better off moving our olympic sports to the Summit and putting the money saved on travel expenses into our programs. We could increase coaching salaries, recruiting budgets, facilities. IMO we are not only losing ground to NDSU but also both SD schools.
  23. Why couldn't UND join the Summit League and still be a football affiliate in the BSC? Works for Cal Poly and Davis. Would be much better for our other sports then flying them all over the western US.
