  1. So you guys are OK with the numbers???
  2. More like disappointed we aren't beating them badly considering the additional hockey revenue!
  3. You realize that UND actually lost $683,453 compared to NDSU's $5,936 while being subsidized at a higher rate?
  4. 1. UND accepted membership into the BSC before a deal could be worked out. 2. The other MVFC schools would have told YSU to pound sand. What were they going to do about it?
  5. Again, how do have a plan for something when you do not if, how, or when it will play out?
  6. USD got an invite. I do think an MVFC invite was coming, but we may never know now. The nickname issue didn't help anything either.
  7. I agree. I can't help but think that UND might have jumped into the BSC without fully thinking through all of this first. It would appear as a desperate move on our part and it may have been at the time. Do we have a chance to rectify the situation? I believe so. The leadership to do so?
  8. Fullerton has no plan for FBS. You do realize that a conference can't move up to FBS together right? A school needs to be invited from an existing FBS conference. So the FBS is a mute point. And UND is no where near FBS ready!
  9. I disagree with this. With UND they would have a solid core. UND, NDSU, USD, SDSU, WIU, UNO & DU would make for a stable conference. I don't see anywhere else for those schools to go that would be a better fit. You would have at least 5 baseball members, 6 if USD decided to restart. The question is would the MVFC schools be willing to add UND. They may if YSU decided to leave which has been discussed before.
  10. I would actually rather see UND and UNC join the Summit and the MVFC. Our addition would help stabilize the Summit. It's much better geographically for travel and recruiting. Selfishly I would be able to travel to away games again. The BSC schools are just too far away. I would also like to see our old rivalries renewed with the other Dakota schools and UNO. Although playing the Montana schools has been great we could still play them OOC.
  11. Personally I think Mollberg looks better then Bartels. Obviously we won't know who will start until Fall camp gets underway. I doubt either one is shying away from the competition, it only makes them both better!
  12. Why do people here seem obsessed with the Summit? We've been hearing about the Summit's demise for how long? I'll believe it when it happens until then I couldn't care less because it does not affect UND!
  13. You're wrong. There are options that involve only land owned by the city of Fargo and it's residents. They have all been shot down by selfishness too!
  14. I'm done trying to reason with you people. You guys have been brainwashed by your elected officials that the only way to protect Fargo is that diversion. Go ahead spend $2 billion on a diversion that you yourself said would only be needed a handful of times in the last 100 years. Makes sense to me! That project will end up like the Garrison diversion project, a giant money pit! I don't want to hear Fargo bitch about needing drinking water when the next drought takes hold either.
  15. http://www.inforum.com/event/article/id/398284/ Yeah, rural landowners are the problem. When my families livelyhood is at stake these fine people are worried about their golf course. When my home was threatened by overland flooding I chose to build a ring dike around my property, I didn't ask anyone else to sacrifice their land or pay for it. You say permanent levees would not work? How have the makeshift levees and dikes been working then? Apparently these can work if Fargo wanted them to, they choose not to. You realize how many $9 million flood fights you could handle from $2 billion? You could afford to fight a record flood every year for 222 years! I won't say that some farm drainage hasn't caused some issues, but can you guys admit that some developement should not have happened also? And maybe the fact that we've been in a wet cycle for 20 some years may have played a part as well?
  16. And your comments are typical of the lawyer or doctor who builds a mansion along the river who doesn't want his scenic view destroyed by a dike though his back yard. But as long as your precious golf course is playable to heck with everyone else. Got it!
  17. How old are you? The Red has been flooding for well over 100 years. Apparently you were not here in '66, '79, '97, '02? Occasional flood? And you want to spend $1.8 billion to protect an occasional flood?? You want a diversion, run it through Fargo!
  18. I'm saying Fargo could have solved their problem a long time ago. They chose not to!
  19. I know plenty about Fargo's situation as I'm going to be losing land to that stupid diversion! Yes, this year the NWS screwed up big time. I wasn't necessarily talking about wasted money this year but the cumulative money that Fargo has pissed away since '69!
  20. The offense will be fine, the defense needs to step up. Last year was an embarrassment!
  21. Fargo has had plenty of time and wasted plenty of money that could have been used to buy out all of the homes along the river and put up permanent flood protection. They want to put the problem on everyone else while they continue to collect money from the developers. I for one hope Denny's ditch will never happen!
  22. Unacceptable! With 7 home games they better be at least 8-3.
  23. I really think the B1G schools are going to have to improve their own teams if they want a spot at the CFP. The OOC schedule is only a small part of the SOS. Look at the SEC, their teams are so much better then the B1G that they can schedule all OOC cupcakes and still have a higher SOS. Eliminating FCS games is not going magically make their teams better. In fact they may very well be worse off because of it!
