  1. Yah, I really noticed that last Saturday in Mpls. Den sat the whole game while the Sioux generally stood the entire game.
  2. Man, \you called that one!
  3. FYI--Cubs2323 confirmed earlier this morning these have been sold.
  4. Please check your in-box as I posted you a message, thx.
  5. Well, not to dismiss it but there's always going to be plane crashes periodically. To be honest though, I've always preferred Flyers to Pilots or Aviators anyhow if that's the route the new name went.
  6. Damn, that was. Psychic.
  7. Try that again in response to .357: Agree (watch the penalties vs St Clown), Sioux need to play disciplined and check the emotions to some degree (but play with moxy). 4 STRAIGHT = 8
  8. Agree, the employees at the Pourhouse and TC were all nice/friendly to me so no complaints here. Now, if you're talking New York.....
  9. To me, being in 4 straight Super Bowls and losing them all is a more impressive coaching job (Buff Bills head coach Marv Levy) than a one and done coach who wins his only Super Bowl. Examples are the TB Bucs maybe a dozen years ago ("Chuckie" Gruden wasn't it from ESPN Mon nite ftbl?), the NO coach in 2009 (beat Vikes in NFC Championship--Bounty Gate), etc. So, I'll take Haks any day over Mike Eaves at Wis. Year in and year out we are a contender/top 5 program even with lesser teams. Eaves has basically as good a program as UND history and facilities-wise for recruiting purposes but like a fishing bobber each season, Wisco is up and down. Historically bad year this past season. And I won't get into the "luck" thing but if the Frozen 16 was playoff series instead of one and done games the Sioux would have won at least two natties under Haks. The trouble is one and done tourneys don't always favor the best team although it certainly makes it more exciting though.
  10. Spot on. Game is on national tv anyhow (media commercials) so no real need to play a 4th line/lesser performing players.
  11. Ditto.
  12. "Tiny schools"? The student size has nothing to do with how strong a program is. Take UND for example. It's student body I believe is as big/bigger than Duke and Notre Dame but that doesn't mean it measures up to them success-wise and brand-wise in basketball or football. Size of the school means nothing, what matter is the strength of the program. If it did, UND would be a middle of the road program in hockey and getting beat up by the likes of Min, Mich, Wis, Ohio St,...which of course as even you even know isn't the case. As Duke is in hoops, Notre Dame is in football, UND is in hockey circles.
  13. Ain't it fun?!
  14. While Zane wasn't Super Man this past wknd, he was by no means the problem. It was the lads in front who were the issue, hands down.
  15. You know, I like Badlanders. That or Trail Blazers (like yours better).
  16. Will scorers Parks and Cags show up next wknd, didn't see them at TC this past wknd.....?
  17. Spot on. 3rd period Sioux putting on some pressure and 3 or 4 straight shots, hard like rockets and they go wide of the freaking goal. Goalie didn't even have to make saves. Hard to score when you don't put SOGs.
  18. After being at both games Sioux Fri and Sat and not getting home until 8:30 Sun night from the Twin Cities, was curious what was being posted following two very disappointing games. Looks like I'm in yours and many other camps here on my opinion on what I witnessed. Between the Sioux lack of any real urgency/intensity and the TC as a facility/tourney host, doubtful I'll return next season if we make it.
  19. Spot on, agree.
  20. Good question. Hell, when CC came into the Ralph last weekend their power play was actually a decimal of a percent more effective than UNDs over the course of the season. I'm not kidding.
  21. Hah, I thought the very same thing--agree 100% with your post.
