I hear you runaroundsioux and you make a point but my griping is purely selfish; I wanted to go but cus you're talking just a 5k seat arena I wasn't able to get a ticket (I was on line a 1/2 hour after sales opened but no tickets left). In 06 (?) I got tickets for it at the Ralph cus you had an arena that seats nearly 12K. Simple math when it comes to ticket availability.

I got to thinking the other day; it's a shame that UND couldn't of bid/got Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls for the Western Regional. It's a hair closer to GF than the Twin Cities is and just as important it's only 235 miles from the Twin Cities and the large UND alumni base. The arena seats nearly 10,700 for ice hockey, doubling Scheel's Center capacity. I think it's safe to assume it would be darn near (if not) a sell-out there the way Sioux fans travel. I wonder if that was considered initially by UND as a site for their bid and, if so, if it was simply booked up for late March? Not sure either way but UND may want to consider it in the future.

Probably a better show for the most part than the close but snake bit (especially at home) men's hoops team this season.

Agree 100%. Despite the $$, I think Cags realizes that too. He can put up even more points next season at UND.

I think he will stay. Gotta think he would be a decent minor league player but questionable at NHL level (that's no insult), like a good number of UND stars over the years. Despite the number of Sioux that go on to play in the big show, a good number don't that were stars in their college days. I know it's easy to chase a $1/2M or more to sign but I'd rather be a big man on campus on a top college team year in year out playing in front of nearly 12K fans vs playing on some minor league team playing in front of 1/3 to 1/2 of that tops. We all have different values/priorities though, understood.

Wow, ugly sweep but I'll take it! Man, 7th place in NCHC W Mich would probably be sitting in 3rd place in the Lil6 ("Big10") conf. Undisciplined/not smart play at times but they bring it. The Sioux, they just keep winning (mostly) ugly baby.

Fun game today vs Sac St, shame the Sioux couldn't up the lead even more on the Bee's early as Sac St only had 3 pts at the 13:15 mark 1st half. Had the Sioux made a few more fg's and ft's, maybe a different result instead of losing by 2 pts.

Good point. I really think that's a reflection of their head coach. I think he's becoming the Sioux fans new George Gwozdecky to hate/rag on, not a very likeable/an annoying guy.

Great, we scored! However, if I didn't know the result last night, watching this game I could easily guessed we won Fri night on the road. Had we lost last night, the tenacity/intensity tonight would be much greater.

I did not log into NCHC.tv until 6 min in to 1st period but looks like we're playing on our heels/for a split (hope not the latter). Ramp it up boys.

Any update on Goofers - Penn State score and time left?

Uh, is it just me or is Shanks been a bit of a disappearing act in the last few weeks? He sat out a year and he's just a freshman, I get it. He seemed to start well last month considering he sat out a year but lately it seems more regression instead of progressing (relatively small sample size I realize). I do like his shooting touch but I've seen him miss some fairly easy shots. I checked and in Min med size HS level (I believe?) at 7 ft (or near) he averaged just 12 pts his senior year I believe. Seems like a 7 footer in Min in HS should score more than that just by accident. I'll be patient though as short time I realize he's played in college and 7ft is 7 ft.
