  1. Bowling Green offers hockey and FBS at a budget less than UND has. Any talk of NDSU and SDSU getting into the MWC or MAC is total nonsense. Those conferences only get 10 shares of the CFP and they have more than 10 members. Before the CFP, the MAC invited Temple, UCF and U Mass as associate fb members because they are in enormous media markets, but those schools refused full memberships..m The MWC took SJSU because it thought it needed a Bay Area presence for TV. SJSU was taken over NMSU just based on media.
  2. According to Moody, Grabowski was in on him early and that’s why he chose UND. https://www.inforum.com/sports/basketball/964770-Charting-a-different-course-UND’s-Aanen-Moody-out-to-prove-he-made-the-right-decision
  3. Macey Kvilvang just left NDSU’s burning dumpster of wbb. At 6’5”, she could be a good Vb pickup. https://www.inforum.com/sports/basketball/964706-Former-Miss-Basketball-finalist-Kvilvang-leaves-Bison-womens-team#.XFoPpCXW5QY.twitter
  4. They routinely happen at any level. SO you’re saying that Larsen and Bresciani don’t want to see NDSU advance athletically?
  5. Roosa lists on twitter that she is in Tulsa, OK. Flores must have been lonesome for home to go NAIA. The team environment must have been bad.
  6. No conference ever made an invitation because of women’s sports, ever, even if they were “pretty good” except a women’s single sport conference. Like NDSU has sell out crowds for their vaunted softball and T&F teams and a huge fan base on TV. Heard that NDSU was building a domed stadium just for softball because their fans believe such nonsense.
  7. The MAC, MWC, and SunBelt just laugh hysterically at NDSU’s inquiries. NDSU has to get the Montanas, Idaho, EWU and Weber St and aboard the Summit, have the Summit start Fb, and go FBS.
  8. Apparently you haven’t heard of Western Michigan. They went to the Cotton Bowl recently and their hockey team is better than UND this year. NDSU will come begging for UND to go FBS so NDSU has an FBS league.
  9. So 34 G5 schools don’t meet the 15k attendance this year. What’s to stop more from joining? FCS loses more money than low level FBS. These writers seem so anxious to move NDSU up, as they did here.
  10. Some people just metabolize different chemicals at different rates. Some drugs have side effects in some people and are nearly absent in others. The argument that only one bizzon tested positive for a supplement does not absolve every one.
  11. Never said the MVC WILL split as 100% likely, but a split possibility is more like 20% in 10years. If talking eternity, nearly a 100% chance. I deal in risk, which is not an up or down answer, as many posters here think. There are not many private schools that the MVC can nab: maybe Detroit, Lipscomb, Denver, but the major targets like Dayton, Belmont, and St Louis have already firmly said no. But Augie could still get a MVC invite without a split, if say Loyola was offered a Big East or A10 position, several years from now. Loyola is a better institution than DePaul in some areas, and the BE could have two Chicago schools. The MVC won’t take a new DII moveup, but they will take a private which has DI years under its belt and has a large Sanford Center arena to play in. That is what the privates want, and they get half the votes and demand that their votes not get diluted. Dont really care how USD and SDSU play this. I recognize that those two schools are much more enamored by the MVC, but I think the Montanas and Idaho and NDSU are who we should align ourselves with. Ind St and S Illinois have bleak futures if things don’t change there.
  12. So this negative NDSU Kolpack story gets printed on a day that paper isn't even delivered to customers? What a perfect day for it to be published.
  13. Any one want to post this article on AGS and get blasted by the regular bizzon rubes that make up most of its posters? The FCS world needs to know.
  14. https://www.unionleader.com/sports/college/the-game-is-changing-for-saint-anselm-women-s-hockey/article_9c8b01c7-64db-5bd3-92ea-d933734f9d5a.html Article about St Anshelm’s DII program that will now compete (next year or so) for the DI women’s national championship. Why does the national media never bring up Title IX, as DII’s St Anshelm, St Michael’s, Franklin Pierce, and Post (CT) don’t have men’s teams that can compete similarly? Per normal, UND is mentioned as a tragic event and how difficult women’s hockey has it to endure.
  15. Maybe, just maybe, the MVC private schools have reached out to Augie and inquired about their “later”, after they have been DI for several years. The Sanford Arena is a perfect MVC mbb spot. Augie would fit their private school profile, as the MVC is currently limited in selections to Detroit and Oral Roberts. Sioux Falls says MVC city, unlike Vermillion and Brookings. If Sanford gives them a major endowment, their case is a slam dunk when there is an private school opening. Right now, the MVC public schools like Murray St as a member, but the private schools can’t agree an another member. St Louis and Dayton have reportedly refused, as the A10 has higher status. Belmont won’t move to the MVC and Lipscomb doesn’t have enough B.B. history. Other privates are DII as well, but the MVC won’t take a school directly from DII. Eventually, the MVC public’s and privates will have to split, as they create so much tension internally, and Augie would have a landing spot. Or Loyola leaving to the A10 or Big East create another private school must find situation. USD and SDSU may just create their own mbb destruction.
  16. https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/news/education/sd-me-ucsd-applications-20190129-story.html UC San Diego has record enrollment, but much of the growth is from foreign students. It’s very hard to get into the UC system schools and getting harder through the years. Foreign students are good for the UC pocketbook’s.
  17. So Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium may host a future Frozen Four? The FF was hosted by Detroit in a domed football stadium, but with KC’s weather of spring thunderstorms and even tornado warnings, that seems incredibly irresponsible. https://www.kshb.com/news/local-news/renovated-arrowhead-stadium-could-help-land-big-future-events
  18. So UND shouldn’t be open to potential Twin Cities fans that don’t currently go to games? There is no other way to do it except scheduling Drake or Butler early, and that’s not a game, even if bizzon fans say it is. Allianz Field right now would be more appropriate.
  19. Target has hosted St Johns vs St Thomas to a packed stadium in September 2015. St Thomas should use the nearby Minnesota United stadium now. Allianz Field to host St Thomas-St Johns game in 2019. https://www.tommiesports.com/sports/fball/2018-19/releases/20181204eg78nd
  20. This is a strategic move. Schools like to get popular kids, especially beauty queens, to entice other out of state students to go there too and ones there to stay enrolled. Alabama has a very strong Greek system and not that much higher an endowment than UND (its proportional). Kids with brains are not popular.
  21. The population of Greeley has doubled to over 100,000 from 1980 so smell isn’t keeping people away. Just be North and west of it, as the prevailing winds are northwesterly. People can’t afford the astronomical Ft Collin and Denver prices and moved there. South Dakota is a major pork producer now and the hog heaven smell doesn’t cause a population drop. Sioux Falls has grown in spite of its stockyards. Vermillion can double its population if it produces pork. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greeley,_Colorado
  22. Schedule UNI. At least the crowd will be doubled and perhaps more $ to UND.
  23. Google must be an idiot because it always routes one to I70 to go skiing from Colorado Spring instead of a winding mountain road. California kids who ski at Boulder would not go to Eldora, but they still go to Boulder. Saban’s reign was responsible for the vast majority of it. Alabama used to be a vast majority of Alabama kids. The vast majority of Cali is less than Greeley, certainly as far as expenses and crime.
  24. District 8 may vote on a new 600 student HS and two 600 student elementary schools. https://www.willistonherald.com/news/district-board-leaning-toward-adding-a-high-school/article_b3406b50-236f-11e9-9360-6b6460308204.html That district turned down a previous school bonding vote.
  25. Have a sibling living Colorado Springs and often ventures up I-70 and then west to go skiing. CS may have other outdoor sports, but downhill skiing is not close. Boulder has a local mediocre lift that few Coloradans use. All the action is off I-70 west of Denver. Alabama had under 20k when I moved to Mobile. Now it has almost 40k. That’s even math that you can’t do.
