May Port didn’t do too bad, but they lost their playin game to DL 8-0. Have their scoring back. http://ndhighschoolhockey.com/NorthDakotaBoysHighSchoolHockey/teampage.aspx?teamid=2235 Is Watford City upgrading next year with their new rink?

The only northern school UND has lost to is Seton Hall. The only Southern schools UND has beaten are Mercer and Long Beach St. Softball is pretty much a southern sport, as the results tell.

Recently, got a online survey asking about the following schools and to rate them. U Minnesota U North Dakota U St Thomas U Minnesota Duluth NDSU Concordia Moorhead Minn St Mankato St. Cloud St Minn St Moorhead Bemidji St I rated them in approximately the above order. Since this from the Foundation, it seems the above schools are what are considered enrollment rivals. Strangw that SDSU or USD are not considered enrollment rivals, but Concordia and Moorhead are. St Thomas and Duluth keep expanding their offerings, while Mankato, St Clown, Bemidji and Moorhead will be the typical Minn St system schools that never quite match up. Gave Minnesota probably a higher rating than they deserve, as graduates in my discipline didn’t impress. Same holds true for St Thomas, but the sample size isn’t huge.

Seems whenever UNDmbb wins, the hockey team loses and vice versa.. UNDmbb won today.

UND beat Mich St. Rematch on Sunday.

U Penn is having its old arena upgraded to have youth teams play year round, courtesy of the Flyers owners. https://www.philly.com/business/snider-hockey-partners-upenn-grow-youth-program-rink-million-20190222.html The Ivy League doesn’t officially offer hockey now, as the ECAC does instead, but Penn restarting a program would be feasible with their massive endowment of nearly $14 billion.

Bijiek can go to 70 years old and not gain weight. South Sudanese body types are not like West African or North American body types.

Looks like NKU is very upset by the Horizon League bid process that wasn’t supposed to go to a team’s home arena, but It went to IUPUI,s arena. Maybe NKU is using this as an excuse to move to the MVC with Murray State. PUFW be gone if that happens. https://mobile.twitter.com/dontribunesport/status/1095422873244708865?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1095422873244708865&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fcsnbbs.com%2Fthread-870382.html nKu has quickly built a formidable program

Pretty skeptical that UMKC can become the next Wichita State. https://info.umkc.edu/unews/martin-lays-out-100-day-vision-for-athletics/

Doesn't pay anything to the school except travel expenses. Have to demote hockey to DIII.

An FBS conference needs at least 9 FBS teams to qualify for CFP payments later. That is preferable millions would be dispersed. Eight can get by, but nine is preferable if one drop out. NDSU fans can be giant blowhards, but no one wants them because their facilities and population are like Idaho"s. The proposed league would have cost effective travel partners. Weber St and Denver would be the worst, as would require a flight between, but those flights are low cost. A G5 playoff could happen with added $. Needs more G5 conference first.

The whole state of North Dakota can shut down if the Green New Deal gets implemented. Cars would all go Electric and electrics are just totally inefficient in the winter at below freezing (never mind at -30) Tractors would all have to be electric too. The battery packs woud be enormous and cost a fortune. Cattle would all have to be sold off until a non farting one is developed. But people would be forced to become vegans. All buildings would be torn down and new energy efficient ones built. Sod huts may be allowed. All flights for the proletariat would be disallowed until an electric plane is introduced. The high speed trains tracks built wouldn’t be for rural areas. Hawaii would have to build tunnels under the ocean for the high speed trains to keep tourism. The oil fields would be shut down. The only silver lining is that the state would have high density wind towers exporting power elsewhere. That way LM Glas Fiber can import more Somalis to build their blades.

This is the typical bison troll, gets your dander up but never hits the logic target: There were all kinds of trolls here that said UND would never move up, UND would never ever get in the Big Sky, and now, UND could never go FBS but NDSU is open to it.

Her Green plan outlaws air transportation as high speed rail will be everywhere except to cross oceans.

Looks like Killdeer is planning on building new schools too. The article doesn’t state for what number. https://www.dunncountyextra.com/killdeer-school-growth-choices-not-unique/

UND (9-14, 3-7) vs NDSU (11-12, 5-4) 2/6 7 PM

Look at some schools similar to UND USD has never been to the Big Dance, unless one counts women UNH has never been to the Dance after more than 40 years of trying Maine has never gone dancing either after more than 40years Delaware has been to the dance 5 times but only one this century. NDSU has only gone as they advantage of an underserved DI area back when they moved up. SDSU only gets to the Dance because they play in a weak conference conference and have an effective home court tournament Montana State has been to the dance three times since 1951 and not since 1996. Its tough for small state schools to make a name for themselves. Rhode Island, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana and Vermont are the few small state schools that have some respect according to history in the DI world. SDSU may be getting there. Think Jones is probably about the best we can do long term as a coach. Great coaches would move on fast. Glas was not a great coach although he had assistants that have proven mettle. But Glas was a great ambassador for UND and he was great for PR and getting crowds and that part is missed. Jones doesn’t seem to wanna be here, but would rather coach Drake or someplace in Iowa. -
They are adding WIH and women’s lax. The new fb indoor practice center becomes a women’s lax center too and the WCHA needs more teams. My suggestion of them adding a women’s rowing team in the nearby sewage ponds and women’s mud wrestling have been turned down as too many of their women’s teams are already in a quagmire.

Nashville is seeking an MLB expansion team. Charlotte and Montreal are probably the favorites, but Nashville seems to be coming on. It has NFL and NHL teams and soon MLS. The Nashville area roots for Atlanta, St Louis and Cincinnati, so Nashville would probably be placed in the AL if it gets a team. Nashville had a bid in when Tampa Bay got a team, and that proposed stadium was shaped like a guitar, but Nashville is much bigger now. It would have as a broadcast territory Tn, Ky, and at least parts of Al, MS, and AR. Oakland and Tampa Bay still have issues with their new stadiums, so any move won’t happen until those teams get stadiums. The downtown core construction when I was last there recently was unreal, as well as the traffic. The Carolinas have much more people, but it’s not that concentrated in the state as there are many other cities. Charlotte getting a team would take out a huge chunk of the Braves territory, but the Nationals have been making inroads there as Fox regional networks have Nat games in NC.. https://www.wsmv.com/news/local-businessman-pushes-mlb-expansion-in-nashville/article_f46d8802-280f-11e9-963e-df6d48925cd1.html

Whenever a sport is cut, those athletes retain their undergrad scholarship. Just the coaches salaries and other costs are immediately reduced. Those scholarships will fade away though.

The DU game is a loser out game. -
A story by the Detroit News on UND flipping Schuster earlier this week. He never made a visit. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/sports/high-school/2019/02/06/local-recruiting-tommy-schuster-flips-north-dakota-tyrece-woods-heads-buffalo/2794424002/ Other stories about how he lead his team to a championship. https://www.theoaklandpress.com/sports/miprepzone/chippewa-valley-s-schuster-ap-division---player-of/article_c969825a-f9ca-11e8-b2b2-830efe88d9dc.html https://www.freep.com/story/sports/high-school/mick-mccabe/2018/11/17/chippewa-valley-belleville-michigan-high-school-football/2038336002/ Maybe we have another Case Keenum, who was always discounted for his height, on our hands.

But Brock Robbins and his mom were lieing, according to you.
-
So the Fargo Forum was lying too when they wrote about the NDSU drug investigation. You always say everyone is a liar. That’s your shtick.
-
A lot of gnashing of teeth over a lack of a QB. Michigan All State is not easy to get. Schuster just had a big write up in the Detroit News about his commitment to Ashland, OH, a DII school. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/sports/high-school/2019/02/03/recruiting-star-qbs-austin-brown-tommy-schuster-finally-find-college-homes/2762071002/ Schuster’s HS is large and is in unincorporated Macomb County, suburban Detroit, so he went against some of the toughest HS opponents in Michigan and won a championship. It’s definitely not a Class B type HS. His school’s mascot used to be an Indian, but it was changed to Hawks. He will be on familiar ground.
-
Your shtick was that NDSU would never go FBS. Now that has changed. Must have got a directive from Larsen and JBB.
