The Big Sky gets Dixie St, UVU, Seattle and likely CWU from the WAC. Dixie St and CWU save fb. Old fb members would be N Colo, SUU, NAU, Idaho St, and Portland St. Both the BSC and Southland would have to cooperate in scheduling with their remaining schools, as the Southland would be down 4 or 5 fb schools.

Saw someone posting about Austin Peay U being sponsored by the Predators for hockey. The recent news of High Point U building on an campus arena may make a southern league feasible. High Point U just isn’t throwing tens of millions to become a DI independent. High Point U, Liberty U, UAH, Lindenwood, FGCU, and someone else just might make it feasible in a couple years. SEC schools would not lower themselves to that crew.

Minot State would probably be expelled from the Northern Sun if they attempted that. Perhaps associate with Montana State-Billings and the GNAC with no football.

Mission accomplished! Had to get the know-it-alls about everything to reply because they are wrong again. The new leagues will stay FCS for a couple years and then transition to FBS. The year 2025 is key as that would get them CFP shares worth millions. Spending time in FBS without CFP was why the WAC couldn't get more members almost ten years ago. The Summit and WAC offices and officials have to get their feet wet with FCS before they begin FBS.

Apparently there is a D2 poster that says the WAC will get several Southland schools and Big Sky schools for a new FBS WAC. What I’ve been stating along with Northern Big Sky schools moving over to the Summit. As a repercussion if that, Tarleton St is waiting on a Southland bid and doesn’t want a travel intensive WAC bid. Tarleton has resigned from the Lone Star but hasn’t accepted a WAC bid. Reported by a Kat fan at the Sam Houston St board. http://www.katfans.com/katsforum/showthread.php?22110-Tartleton-State-making-the-move-to-the-FCS&p=394513&viewfull=1#post394513

It’s a NDSU worshipping fanboard, with any discussion about UND totally trolled.

Defending champion Minot State is the preseason#1 ACHA DI club team according to the rankings. Jamestown is #17. Minot State just moved their women’s team to DI in club. Think both U Mary and Minot St will both move their clubs to varsity when the WCHA breaks up. If Bemidji State can, why not Minot? http://achahockey.org/view/achahockey/acha-hockey-news/news_525282

The Forum wouldn’t print any of the lurid details, so your friend must speak out.

Bet Schuster has more experience playing in foul weather than San Diegan Ketteringham. Seniority rules for Bubba.

The DII Lone Star seriously expanded out to NM, OK, and KS and to the Rio Grande and Permian. The Southland will have lower travel costs even when Sam Houston St, Lamar, and McNeese St leave. Football would have such a ridiculous travel cost just to get games. In the Southland, it would be mainly bus trips. The trolls and posters so against FBS for the WAC and Summit will be proven so wrong. Its happening exactly like I've said in the last year but most of them never even read my posts but turn on me when I say FBS.

The schools that are serious about starting hockey are either P5’s, like Illinois, Penn St, Arizona St and maybe others like Alabama, Georgia, Iowa, and Pitt, or non-football schools like High Point, Sacred Heart or low FCS like Robert Morris that don’t have football dreams of going bigger. There probably will be exceptions like Liberty that has so much money they need more sports, or Navy which has essentially an unlimited budget. UNLV will be moving to the new Raiders stadium so that might entice the PAC12 to include them just for $ signs, but football gets its place first. Both UNLV and Boise are not wanted by the academic side of the PAC12. UConn probably resents going all in on hockey as it is no longer a P5 or even AAC and the whole athletic program is taking a major debt bath because of it.

Don’t know how Parshall and Killdeer are funding their school expansions, but they are ongoing. Same with Watford City’s new elementary or is it a middle school.?

Tarleton St is moving to DI and. FCS. https://mobile.twitter.com/RPRTalks They say they will join the WAC but they will backfill for the Southland when other Southland teams move to the WAC and FBS. https://tarletonsports.com/news/2019/9/30/general-tarleton-receives-ncaa-division-i-invitation.aspx

Boise St and UNLV are G5 programs, so they are less likely to start hockey because of financial issues. Maybe if they get closer hockey relationships with the PAC12 that pays, as that will be an incentive. The last programs added were P5 and non-football schools. FCS and G5 are generally too concerned about fb costs. UND is a rare exception. See UC-Irvine much more likely than Boise or UNLV.

I'm such a sucker for economic history stories and this one is about High Point. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.architecturaldigest.com/story/high-point-market-north-carolina-american-made-southern-town-became-the-furniture-capital-of-america/amp High Point U is on the north (?) side of town that is rather impoverished, but that makes cheap property to expand with.

They were like 6-3 against Houston in September, but 2-8 early season, The Tampa game is worrisome.

Like the hot team to win the WS. Oakland went 63-31 since last being at 500, with a lot of talented rookies moving up since then. https://www.sfchronicle.com/athletics/ostler/article/The-Oakland-A-s-will-win-the-World-Series-14468142.php#photo-18274331

Wow, didn’t know that. Indiana, Fresno St and EMU saw major offensive improvement when he was there.
-
Maybe the most surprising FCS win was Montana over UC Davis. Hauck got more speedsters and appears to have turned that program around. UC Davis gave NDSU it’s toughest victory to date, And Delaware almost won at Pittsburgh.

Galloway left when he found out Bubba was coach. No way Galloway would get pro attention under Scheigert's lack of QB throwing and WR action.

North Texas is markedly improving its staff and team after their loss to Portland State a couple of years ago. There was recently an article that SMU better watch out. Here's an article on him: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.texasfootball.com/amp/article/2019/04/16/how-bodie-reeder-plans-to-build-winning-offense-at-north-texas%3fref=article_preview_title Would be a very tough get.

UND about to be swept by USD: 25-23, 25-13, and 15-7 in the third. USD finished the third set 25-8. USD and Denver are highly rated, and Omaha is just behind them.

The old coach of the Washington Redskins, George Allen, seems to be whom Bubba tries to emulate. Allen wanted veteran players as they didn’t make mistakes and rarely turned the ball over but didn’t believe in offensive momentum as defense only wins games. Kett turned the ball over five times, and would have bet Schuster wouldn’t have had half those mistakes. Schuster just wins, even though he is still a freshman. After three turnovers, would have given Schuster at least a chance. Look at all the QB’s that EWU, UC Davis, NDSU, SDSU and even USD have gotten QBs that were keys for their past and futures. Bubba seems to believe the QB position isn’t that key, but a necessary evil.
