Looks like Alexander will be one of the bigger Class B towns if things keep going: http://bismarcktribune.com/bakken/small-town-school-adjusts-to-the-oil-boom/article_30516174-2a11-11e4-bbcf-001a4bcf887a.html Watford City just missed the Class A cutoff this year. Their planning for 800 HS student now in a few years. http://www.watfordcitynd.com/?id=10&nid=2857

Your part of the same Masonic organization that tried to run the Catholics out of town in the 1920's? In the South, all the KKK guys were Masons: that's how their organization sprung up originally. Heard the Mason's in GF are dying out. Most of them have had cancer.

The top of the SEC is good: Florida, Kentucky, and A&M are battling for top 20 spots. They play hard core schedules. Arkansas, Miss St, and Tennessee would be struggling in the Slummit. But with the inherent advantages a P5 team has, any P5 win is nice.

South Dakota beat Arkansas last week. Were back up on Massey. G Washington and Auburn have been losing, so that hasn't helped much. Tomorrow's game against Pacific is huge. http://www.masseyratings.com/team.php?t=5538&s=265415

It is saving school districts like Grenora and Alexander. Williston District #8 might even build a high school. They now have a K-8, and send the HS students to Williston (District 1). http://www.willistonherald.com/news/setting-boundary-lines/article_13261bd0-3d17-11e4-b055-0bfd3d497b38.html

The UAV Park will do much more to transform GF's culture than the nitrogen plant. While 2000 construction workers will be around, that plant won't bring much of a different mindset than Crystal sugar or the french fry plants. The UAV people that will be brought in aerospace companies will demand changes just in the culture, and they will cause change with their buying habits. If the UAV park gets to 500 people, watch out. Its important to have an ingrained entrepreneurial culture, which GF is lacking. The UAV park will help change that.

The number of rigs is up to nearly a new high. The same number of rig workers and fracking crews are creating a flowing well in half the time. The logistics part is more difficult: trains needing to be off loaded with pipe and sand. Getting pipelines to the wells to take away wastewater, nat gas, to processing plants and oil to loading stations. Oil tankers railcars needing to be filled. Next year, is looking like the year that retail builders in Williston will take off.

http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2014/09/16/north-dakota-oil-output-surges-to-another-a-record.aspx Here's Stony Brooks message board. They've got several things wrong about us too. Anybody want to politely correct them?

If the SUNY system had allowed their schools to offer DI or even DII scholarships before 1980, Buffalo, Stony Brook, and Albany would have been household names. New York forced them to play as DIII schools for years, probably because legislators didn't want to hurt the private schools. Stony Brook has the academic credentials, endowment and media location to be in the Big 10 or ACC, only they don't have the athletic reputation or facilities. That is changing, as Stony Brook is pouring money into their programs. They made the College World Series a couple of years ago. The Islanders owner wanted them to start hockey and play in the Naussau Coliseum: they turned it down because they wanted to build their other programs, especially football. They didn't offer football schollies until 2006.

http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2014/09/16/north-dakota-oil-output-surges-to-another-a-record.aspx Drilling and fracking just keeps getting more efficient. The average well now produces almost twice as much as a well five years ago. The amount of sand used in fracking is much higher than before, causing sand volumes shipped and prices to more than double. There are also using more slickwater fracking and increasing the fracking segments per mile to cause more oil to flow. In addition, the drilling has been so much more efficient, so drilling rigs complete a hole in weeks instead of months.

Shanley vs Minot Ryan girls basketball
SiouxVolley replied to SiouxFan100's topic in Non-collegiate sports
Hope the UND coaches can be there to recruit and show support. -
Some impressive statistics from the NCAA: Faith Dooley leads the nation in blocks, with 68. Nikki Husfeldt is third nationally in assists, with 477. McKenzie Hart is sixth nationally in digs, with 229. Lexi Robinson is 15th in total attacks, with 443. In per set statistics, UND is much lower. A bad statistic for UND: they are one of the worst teams in the nation for scoring aces.

Shanley vs Minot Ryan girls basketball
SiouxVolley replied to SiouxFan100's topic in Non-collegiate sports
Probably Ryan. There's two new rural/suburban High Schools being built south of Minot, and Ryan is co-oping with one of them, South Prairie. South Prairie and Nedrose used to contract their HS kids to Minot. Not any more, as they'll see some pretty good growth. -
According to Pryor, Iowa ran some things that UND can't simulate in practice. It's very hard to beat to top 50 team when you have no history with those opponentss. Pacific will probably be more difficult than Iowa this weekend. Mississippi State will be at home, but UND has a good shot of beating their first P5 opponent.

The Phoenix is TheSoCalledFan on Bisonville. He posted nearly identical posts there, and he state he was in DC in both forums.

This whole board should be assigned blame if we're targeting people for a firing squad. I seem to remember when Garman and Mollberg signed, this board was ecstatic, as if they were the greatest recruits UND had ever seen. Stop the manic depressive personality traits here. It gets very old.
-
That's Buning for you. Let's fire him from his SMU job. Wait, SMU fans want all their admin fired.
-
Can we blame and fire Lennon too while were at it. He's the one that so highly recommended Mussman.

Without Snyder, Kansas State has never been more than an FCS team. Snyder saved KSU from being evicted from the Big 12. KSU basketball has always been decent, but hardly world beaters.

The good thing for next week is that Stony Brook doesn't have any offense either. They are 1-2 with losses to UConn and Bryant, and a 20-3 win over American International, a DII team. We can be in the game this week, but it would help if the offense can generate maybe two drives. http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/teams/sbf/

Always classy NDSU trolls just happen to pipe in their nonsense.
-
After the painful performance against Robert Morris, it was just going to get worse. The defense has to do all the work, and they are not capable of it yet. Ya gotta give Bubba at least three years of work. The cupboard was totally bare when he came. It's gonna get ugly against the top of the Big Sky. You are just gonna have to endure.

Swept the Panthers of E Ill, 25-19, 25-15, 25-23.

Imagine that: NDSU is feeding bad info to the State's Senators. That bad information directly hurts farmers and the ag sector, who are NDSUs bread and butter. Sounds like a Bresciani or Chapman report to the SBoHE or legislature.
