  1. Continental Resources, Harold Hamm's company, is showing possible 2024 production from the Bakken at 3M bpd, in their latest quarterly presentation. Bentek, a consulting firm in the industry, is conservatively predicted 1.7 M bpd. Continental has been spot on when they predict production, but government sources have always badly under predicted. The Bakken is like a multi-tiered wedding cake that has oil instead of frosting in the shale zones. The four zones of the Three Forks shale are just begining production. Many of them are almost as good as the Middle Bakken. The Three Forks extends further south and east than the Bakken, so places further south of Dickinson and east of Killdeer could see a lot of drilling. Towner county, the county east of Minot, is seeing a lot of leasing. Some speculate that Canadian companies want to drill the Birdbear formation, which is rather shallow and is what allows successful oil well drilling near Bottineau.
  2. She's been playing for her HS for some time, so that may be where the confusion is. Both St Peter and the Mn Fury now list her as 6'3. Her teammates on the Fury include Kanani Asuncion and Jill Morton, both UND commits.
  3. No doubt Munkaby and Parlich will be missed. But Dooley could be the best NoDak player ever for UND, whether it takes a month or years for adjustment is the question. At least she'll have height for blocking. Pioske and Co may have to get even better for kills.
  4. Tweets reporting 6'1 Olivia Hass of St Peter Mn has committed to UND.
  5. Other coaches don't have faith in Faith Dooley from Casselton or Julie K from Ontario. When that middle is established in the college game, this team will be dynamite.
  6. You have to think strategically about what is going on. Idaho will not be invited back to the Sun Belt in 2015 (although they can play til 2017). The Big Sky will petition the NCAA to form a FBS league in late 2015. E Wash in adding on to their stadium in anticipation of FBS, so they need bigger FCS teams to fill it. EWU wants NDSU in the league. NDSU thinks they will play UND eventually because they think they will be in an FBS Big Sky. NDSU just want to delay that series from starting. NDSU has to go to the Big Sky, as no other conference will offer them an FBS spot. No Colo can't go FBS, so NDSU knows that the Big Sky needs them for a travel partner with UND. Faison is offering NDSU a better deal, because he knows that an NDSU deal would get overturned by the league office. Perhaps UND and the Big Sky should offer SDSU first, giving UND a travel partner. Let NDSU rot on the vine in FCS while UND and SDSU clean up on recruiting. Then NDSU will be crying to the media about UND being unfair. Give it a few years until recruiting dries up, and then NDSU can come aboard if they play the first two in GF.
  7. Walll Street money, in the form of Real Estate Investment Trusts, is moving into North Dakota. There's a Minot based listed company that is building the huge complex near South Middle School. It's a rather large REIT that provides a pretty good dividend. It's no longer mom and pop outfits building apartments in ND. REITs have bought up a big portion of Williston and Minot. http://portfolio.iret.com/north-dakota/grand-forks-east-grand-forks/cardinal-point/ Campus Crest, an REIT out of North Carolina, builds campus apartments throughout the US. Again, you can invest in the company if you think its a good buy. It pays alot more than the bank will on savings. http://campuscrest.com/student-housing/
  8. There are a number of Bakken-related companies in Grand Forks that are adding a large number of people. One example is R&R Contracting, which constructs new railroad beds and loading stations. BNSF and oil companies are spending billions on the rails just this year: much of the line from Minot to beyond Williston is being double tracked so trains aren't so congested. A company like R&R has people working on a week on week off schedule, so they have to find a place to live. The UAS park and the coming fertilizer plant will create even more demand for housing. http://www.prairiebi...9/group/Energy/
  9. For being a history buff, you sure don't know sh*t from shinola. The Iowa legislature threatened to get involved. http://thegazette.com/2013/09/11/renewing-iowa-iowa-state-rivalry-for-77-wasnt-easy/
  10. Hitler thought it was a strong suit of his too. You are an idiot. Face facts and get off this board.
  11. Bravo! Couldn't be any more truthful and forthright!
  12. It's the only way they can improve their lot. Bisonville must be having a meltdown about playing the Big Fluffy.
  13. Grand Spots from Grand Forks http://www.huffingtonpost.com/sharon-hoge/grand-spots-in-grand-fork_b_5653329.html?utm_hp_ref=travel&ir=Travel
  14. Asking coaches for their opinion is beyond ridiculous. It's like asking your barber how to spend your money. Most coaches are clueless, as they have never had to exist in the adult life with a real world wage. Ask AD's, who have to balance budgets and schedule, and you'll get a totally different response. If P5s play each other all the time, there would be no seventh home games. Some P5 ADs try to make 8 home games (or 7 home and 1 neutral). That would be impossible without scheduling G5s, unless Wake Forest, Duke, Washington St, Kansas, Indiana, and Vanderbilt will play all their games on the road.
  15. You and Herd are effectively saying Fullerton is full of it. I'd go with more that Herd and you are full of it. You and Herd have a lot of crow to eat, Hayduke. Fullerton is getting the rules changed for FBS transitions, or he would not be spouting off publicly.
  16. Bisonville is all about one-upping UND. They rejoiced when NDSU went DI because they didn't believe UND would go DI. They didn't believe UND would get in the Big Sky. The thought for sure UND would be kicked out of the Big Sky. Never did they believe that an NDSU FBS team would rely on UND's conference for an invite. They mock any and all posters here. Any revolting thing imaginable about UND has been brought up on that board. This board is many times more gracious and merciful to NDSU than the other way around. These bisonvillians are not what so ever representative of your father.
  17. Bisonville is so hilarious. A bunch of spineless, dysfunctional, know-it-alls, but yet they won't talk about Fullerton wanting to split the Big Sky into FBS and FCS conferences. An elephant is taking a sh*t now on their message board, but they don't say a thing. Bresciani wants NDSU in an FBS conference, and if the Big Sky goes FBS, he'll be banging on the door to get in. Taylor was just too petty to ever be partners with UND again. Taylor and Bresciani had it out, and Bresciani obviously won. The whole thing reminds me on living on the gulf coast right before a Hurricane struck. All the birds left, the animals fled, and when the people finished boarding up their houses or had finished evacuating, it was eerily quiet. No peep out of anything. But then the winds started picking up and crap was flying everywhere. There's a massive shitstorm advisory for Bisonville. Enjoy!!!
  18. I would hope that the Big Sky would hold off on inviting NDSU so UND will get a head start on recruiting area FBS athletes. Let Bisonville sweat for a couple years, and then grant them some mercy when they are behind in recruiting. Since UND was the only Dakota school in the Sky, we should reap some benefits for a few years. FBS Big Sky Cal :Poly UCDavis Sac St Portland St E Wash Idaho Montana Mont St UND later add NDSU later add SDSU FCS Big Sky Idaho St Weber St SUU NAU No Colo maybe add Dixie St merge it with the WAC
  19. The Alerus will be used for November games, unless the city is willing to expand it. The Alerus is making money now, more that the FargoDome. The east stands will be built over the IPF offices. The track will be gone so the turf needs to be moved further west. Hopefully, it will be a horeshoe on the north side so the wind won't be so bad. A giant video screen on the south side. A new track will be in the parking lot toward the NE with a new parking ramp directly north.
  20. Wait and watch. The REA trust fund and donations will result in a renovated Memorial with over 20,000 seats. Meanwhile, NDSU and SDSU will have to pay $1 mill each to Douple and some other bucks to Patty if they want to go FBS. They'll have to eat crow and join the Big Sky if they want to be FBS. Patty has no interest in FBS.
  21. North Dakota's connection with Teddy and football: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/02/upshot/trs-son-inspired-him-to-help-rescue-football.html?_r=1 Roughriders it is?
  22. Fullerton finally spills the beans: the Big Sky has been talking about going FBS all along. Adding Idaho adds fuel to the fire. So is UND going to be part of the FBS flock, or the FCS flock. That is the question. I say UND has been planning for FBS ever since the Montana's got us in the conference. http://missoulian.co...mment_form=true Meanwhile, Patty Viverito of the MVFC just talked up the virtues of FCS. She has no plans to take the MVFC FBS.
  23. So you're saying you beat KSU by 40 now? Time changes your memory!
  24. You've never been accused of having a brain, so it shouldn't be a little bit interesting to you. People are what make a program.
  25. Idaho State's AD is the man for NDSU. With NDSU joining the Big Sky anyway, and the Idaho State staying behind in FCS, the job will be a step up and will smooth things over to get NDSU in the Big Sky. The Fargo media just can't believe that an FBS AD isn't begging to come to Fargo.
