A back row player can attack, so it can help attack and kill stats. But Dooley's role hasn't changed from last year's to this one. How come her and the teams blocking is down. You and other posters refuse to answer it.

Fargo fans mock, pity UND fans for having "Sundogs" as a finalist
SiouxVolley replied to johndahl's topic in UND Nickname
Anyone surprised that Tom Dennis has editorialized for Sundogs in the Herald or that former Publisher Mike Jacobs are also come out in support of SunDogs? It's in their DNA to be PC stupid. -
A back row player can still attack if behind the 3 meter line, which Moser does when she serves. Dooley probably isn't so versatile, which is understandable base on her height. No one has offered a reason that this team doesn't statistically block as well as last year.

Drew Wrigley is an intriguing candidate for UND President. Sitting ND Lt Gov. Would be a voice the legislature would trust. From ND and a UND grad. Other politicians like Boren at OU and Daniels at Purdue have done a bang up job because they know how things get done in their states. Wrigley will be connected, while Kelley only connected himself with the SBoHE.

Since UND is in Centrals boundaries, the hockey only support must have spread. Central has had absolutely atrocious student sections for years for everything but hockey.

The stats say that Dooley and the team are down in blocks. Last year they were among the nation's leaders in blocks. The oother teams certainly try to avoid Dooley, but last year they know about her blocking ability after the first week. Would help her numbers and the team if she could stay in the rotation for serves.

So Bresciani has a goal to make NDSU AAU ....
SiouxVolley replied to SiouxVolley's topic in Community
U of Kansas and Iowa state are the most similar public AAU schools to UND and NDSU. Both KU and ISU have multiple times the endowments of us, many times the research, and twice the studentsize that BrescianI thinks will get him to AAU. No public U in a state under a million has an AAU school. If schools like Oklahoma, Okie St, and Kansas St can't get a whiff of AAU, NDSU certainly cant, especially in five years or even fifty. U of Nebraska, which serves double the state population and is essentially UND and NDSU combined, gets kicked out. This is probably smokescreen for ammunition to go FBS. -

AAU wants to be the same size. If oNE school gets added, another gets kicked out. Nebraska and Syracuse are the latest to be evicted. Take AG away from NDSU, and it's research is miniscule. -
Why aren't Dooley and the team blocking better? Another year under their belt. Did losing Robinson, Pioske, and their setter hurt blocking?

So it turns out that the gay beating at the fraternity started as a fight by the gay guy, who just fictionalized events. How about Kelley issuing an apology email to students after he accused them of being non-welcoming and discriminatory. How about the bison trolls apologizing here too.

The Russians just lobbed a few cruise missiles toward Syria from the Caspian Sea and hit Iran. Oops. So if they "accidentally" hit the Ghawar oil fields, oil will be back to $100. The Chinese now want to help Syria and Assad, so their armies may get involved, probably because they don't want to be outdone by Russia. This is turning out to be out of Revelation.

Apparently, NDSU's King Brescia night now has a goal to make NDSU an AAU school. Didn't he get the notice that Nebraska was evicted from the AAU, because it no longer values USDA grants or research?

There so more to it than boredom. If a student doesn't get to sit by someone their interested in, or if they do and hit it off, they go home. A football game can be a giant hitting on party for some students.

If Arizona St thinks other PAC12 schools like Arizona, Stanford, USC etc will start hockey, that would be a consideration to go with the NCHC. Otherwise, for the money and prestige, the BTHC almost certainly wins. Nebraska is building a 700 seat practice arena neXT to Pinnacle Bank arena, which has ice capability. Why would Nebraska fund a practice arena? Appears they want to duplicate another Big Red program in the BTHC.

Doesn't a good bizon avoid Grand Forks at all costs? When bison grads come to GF for jobs, isn't that the sign of a coming apocalypse?

The Russians have allied themselves with Iran and their Shiite minions of southern Iraq, Assad of Syrian, and Hezbollah. If they gain enough power, it's not unthinkable for them to seize Kuwait, the Ghawar oil fields in Saudi, and Qatar. With those assets, OPEC would be vastly different in a Shiite-Russian orbit. Saddam Hussein's goal was the same, but he only gained Kuwait temporarily. Shiites hate the Sunnis, and nothing would make them more pleased than defanging Saudi's money machine and gaining it for themselves. Putin is in the Middle East for a reason. Everything he does he is for strategic advantage. He is not in the Middle East for vacation or humanitarian purposes. Oil shot up yesterday to almost $50. Russia is meeting with OPEC today.

Imagine that a lot of Canadian kids get rejected at Minot St. Tuition for them is the same as North Dakota residents. Jamestown is probably the most eclusive college in ND.

Just don't get behind early.

The Saudis and the Baltic countries of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania are probably awfully nervous right now. If Saudi lower their oil production, Russia can get a lot more for their oil and gas. Putin is feeling out if NATO has any resolve now to pretect the Baltics, which are NATO members. With their substantial Russian population, Putin is looking for the tiniest provocation to reclaim them. He has already said their independence was illegal. Putin is playing high stakes poker right now, and this US administration is playing grade school checkers.
-
So why is RUSSIA and Putin in Syria? The stated reason of defeating ISIS doesn't seem to fly, as they have bombed US -backed rebels, not ISIS. Yahoo had a story that it is to exert pressure on Saudi to drop their oil pumping, causing prices to go higher. Iran has threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz for years, but with US military that is impossible. With the Russians in the Middle East, Obama wouldn't dare attack an Iranian strait closure without causing a major reprisal by their Russian allies. Russia has desired a base in the Middle East for years and they finally got a base there. Russia and Iran need higher oil prices for their moribound economies. China, Japan, and Europe will have to pay the piper, Putin, as Russia has their own pipelines, which have Russian defences. Meanwhile, any help the America can give their allies has been contained by Obama forbidding the Keystone pipeline. Putin is moving in to checkmate Saudi Arabia and the US and force oil prices higher, which Russia desparately needs.

Kelley and DI Lorenzo should be in a dunking booth pre-game. That should draw a few extra thousand.

The Idaho State match begins just an hour before the football game. Critical match that will have very sparse attendance. Idaho St probaby has a plane to catch.
