North Texas fans seem absolutely distraught, on par with Wyoming. At least their fan board said something to the effect that North Dakota FCS teams are always strong, and UND killed Wyoming. If the selection committee values wins over FBS as much as people claim, Port St winning this game should help them and UND in the gaining a playoff spot.

"New Americans" what do they bring to the table in the region
SiouxVolley replied to Redneksioux's topic in Community
Bring in Syrian, Assyrian, and Chalderean Christians that are threatened by Isis. Obama has been blocking these people from emigrating, but North Dakota welcomed some of them 100 years ago. They would be very productive. -
Portland St is a three point favote to get its 2nd FBS win, this time to spoil North Texas's homecoming. An FCS team winning two FBS game in the same season is almost unheard of.

Fargo fans mock, pity UND fans for having "Sundogs" as a finalist
SiouxVolley replied to johndahl's topic in UND Nickname
If you polled professors Sundogs would be well out in front. -
Think alot of UND fans are comparing this team to NDSU as the mark to meet. Montana would not win now against NDSU, as they have improved greatly on defense since the opening game.

Ralph probably made that decison himself, becaue the other banners would have clashed with the rest of the REA. History may not be correct, as we have never won a title with the Bennet logo, but that is the best representation of the Fighting Sioux spirit bar none.
-
Will be interesting next week if Portland St can get two FBS scalps, as that play at North Texas Wazzu almost beat Cal, so that win is looking better
-
The NCAA agreement forbids the replacement of any Sioux items in the REA.

Badlands NGLS just signed a letter of intent to buy Continentals ethane. While only Hess and OneOK produce pure stream ethane from their gas plants, the oil producing companies still own their share of gas and ethane, butane, etc until a buyer consumes it. Hess feeds a ethane pipeline called Vantage that goes to Alberta. If the pipeline is reversed, as Badlands is now talking, because Alberta now has plentry of ethane for their own use and more, the polyethylene plant could be built near Williston / Tioga / Minot without much more capital for gas plants and pipelines. The Alberta / ND pipeline practically ensure that their would be enough ethane if wells get valved in because of low prices. If the plastics plant was built near Bismarck, major investments would have to go into a pipeline and gas infrastructure plants. It might be the perfect time to build such a plant, but nearly $6 billion must be raised.

LeClair starred for Bengals teams that went to the Super Bowl. Hard to pick against his accomplishments. Lives in Mayville but his health isn't too good, possibly because of repeated pounding he took, especially with concussions. All these LBS are from the Cities.

Sac St is now 15-2 and having beat a preseason favorite N Ariz. Sac St secret may be the six extra scholarships they have for sand volleyball. They were picked for 10th.

Big Sky Conference Commissioner Doug Fullerton Conversation
SiouxVolley replied to UND-FB-FAN's topic in NCAA News
Rob Spear, the Idaho AD, reportedly told Vandal fans in a tv/radio interview that some of the Big Sky schools would move to FBS if given an opportunity, with FCS and FBS leagues forming. Vandal fans are now desperate because they know the Sun Belt will dump them after this December (for the 2018 season). So now Spear, Fullerton, and I are your sources! -

FCS schools want FBS for the revenue potential (more and higher guarantee games, bowls, more TV revenue, and CFP payouts) and media exposure, not for more expenses. If they can keep FBS scholarships to 77 (the lowest allowable), they can minimize Title IX and other issues. They will still get players, as MWC and Pac12 can not sign all the players. The only other western option is DII schools. -

The MVC is a destination league, unlike the Slummit, and it would be very difficult to go like FBS as a conference, as half the league doesn't want it. UMKC and almost all of the MVC had a problem with the Slummit, but you and bison fans think it's the best thing ever. But they would never want a Slummit football league. -

They would have to wait two years for a bid, except if they were e separate six team division for two years first in the MVFC first. the Big Sky and MVFC teams both aspire to FBS, in spite of their support if FCS in the media. They will not cooperate on membership. Basketball was different because they needed to be together for eight years dater they finished their transition. FCS doesn't pay anything, but FBS and basketball do. -

MVC schools would not shed a tear if NDSU left. They didn't want them in the first place and now they challenge the scholarship hierarchy. NDSU will never get an ok from the MVC private schools. UND would never move to the basketball Slummit - which is up there with the MEAC and Atlantic Sun in prestige as it is a revolving door collection of schools. -
New Vision Truck Accessories seems to have a big mail order business. Knew people in Alabama that used their products.

TelPro is still operating. See TelProInc.com They have door hanger and overhead drilling products, among other things. The Chinese infringed their patents on drywall, and not sure how it was infringed in the US. Patents only hold for 20+ years so it likely expired now anyway.

Why not invite NDSu, SDSu, and USD to the Big Sky? Fullerton has a plan, but many people here and all of Bisonvile don't believe him. We'd be idiots if we didn't wait for Idaho's and NMSU's FBS teams being kicked out of the Sun Belt at the end of this year. Things are rolling more than you know. SUU, Idaho St, Weber, NAU, and UNC aren't relative to the conversation, just as W Ill, Oral Roberts, IPFW, and IUPUI aren't either. if Wyoming can be FBS, why can't the research schools across the Northern Tier states be FBS too?

Two years is pretty standard. Anything less costs dollars. A conference is a business partnership. Walking out costs money unless is all up front and there is plenty of time. -

it's like two years notice and no exit fees. One year or less: $1 million smackers. -

Leaving the Big Sky on short notice would result in high exit fees. Not a way to pay for FCOA. -

idaho and Montana schools need the west coast for recruiting, both athletic and student. idaho St, Omaha and No Colo aren't research Us. Denver and Seattle would be awesome. UMKC left the Slummit in part because they wanted an urban league not filled with Dakotas. -
Your contact probably just did shoddy work that UND refused to pay for. You believe everything that's negative towards UND, without checking the story out.
