Have to say that UND football can be relevant among more alumni if it moved to FBS with some of the Big Sky. Hockey has put UND on the map and paid bills, but FBS will stamp a big DI tattoo on fans.

Pro teams in Texas have a history of being named Texans. The KC Chiefs used to be the Dallas Texans as an AFL team before the Dallas Cowboys arrived.

What's to stop the UND admin from installing a sundog-like rainbow as the logo for NoDaks? Berry and others think they have outsmarted Kelley, but Kelley could gain the last laugh. With NoDaks, anything is possible for a logo. Don't leave that decision to UND admins, as they will make it as PC as possible. There is no vote on a logo. That's why I always liked RR, because a logo is likely to be a western theme.

ThE vote is almost impossible to predict. With the Herald coming out in favor of Sun Dogs and Berry choosing NoDaks and some of the Grand Forks crowd against Riders, it's wide open. I think Rider and one other for a runoff. Hoping Sun Dogs because then Riders win.

Set up a poll on the CSNBBS realignment board for posters of other schools to pick the next UND nickname. Results were: Rough Riders 53% NoDaks 19% Sun Dogs 17% Fighting Hawks 9% North Stars 2% So without much Bison or Gopher influence, the rest of the country sees Rough Riders as a wise choice to represent UND. Some agreed that there wasn't much choice. Others said Sun Dogs sounded like a minor league baseball team's nickname.

HE verbally stated it, that within five years AAU is possible, and you wrote it. Bresciani is too sly and devious to put that in print. Somehow what he stated doesn't fit in your agenda anymore? For someone who has stated the Big Sky won't go FBS, you sure seem to be an anxious wreck over the possibility.

I posted about NDSU's AAU plan an another board that deals with that kind of stuff and the concensus it is just bluffery on the part of NDSU'S president. "Maybe in 60 or 80 years " if it keeps expanding and North Dakota keeps growing. There is a reason that UCDavis is wanted in the Big Sky, because other school Presidents want to associate with them, including Bresciani. The Slummit doesn't have any AAU school, so Bresciani isn't impressed.

The effort seemed lackluster last night, as travel and the let down from the big crowd and rivalry match took its toll. Stokke commented in Tuesdays game that UND sets low to give the opposition less time to set up, as UND also wants to be pushing the tempo. NDSU had very high sets in comparison. It might take a season to get their timing down and for Griffin to get the ideal set height for each person.
