As proven by our main rival, a great class can lay the foundation and introduce a culture for several more classes to come.
-
Yes. His is Lukosevicius.
-
Combine that defense with a better coached offense (not saying talent will be better; perhaps at par) should lead to many good things.
-
So, like the Denver hockey player.
-
Also curious about this, but if you know something, it's probably better left out of public consumption.
-
What is the phonetic pronunciation of this name?

This thread just got me really excited to see what's ready to unfold next fall!
-
This is seen as a good thing, right?

Calling her a bust might be a bit harsh, I'll admit, especially since she wasn't getting good passes. She seemed out of shape, and the amount of running that our poor passing forced her to do, plus the fact she kept having to wipe off her sweaty hands, made for the worst setter play I've even seen at UND in the DI era.
-
That is welcome news, in my opinion. Not sure what Tulsa wants to do with her, but she was a bust at setter for UND. Hopefully what it means is that Pryor has a real setter ready to play for 2019, and Rautio saw the writing on the wall.

Was scrambling this morning trying to figure out how to watch this online. THANK YOU! I have NHL Network at home but wasn't sure if I wanted to take off early.
-
I would love for the Ralph, MTS, USA Hockey, and Hockey Canada to work together to host the tournament in Grand Forks and Winnipeg.
-
Correct. I think it's the only place the tournament makes money. Exceptions might be GF and/or MSP.

Will you say the same thing when UND starts playing NDSU multiple times per year in multiple sports (one of which will be football) with conference standings and potential conference championships on the line? That's the way it was until 2004. That's why we care. NDSU historically has been the biggest thorn in UND's side (and the reverse is true as well) to accomplishing those standings or championships. That's why we care. The fact that it's the in-state school means you know people who went to, go to, or root for the other one, so it's a point of pride among friends and family. That's why we care.
-
Agree. Would SDSU rather beat NDSU, but lose to USD? I doubt it. Or think of the reverse scenario - would USD rather beat NDSU, but lose to SDSU. Also, no. UND has an advantage over SDSU and USD by having NDSU as the in-state rival. Once you've toppled your state, you've also toppled the whole FCS. For a long time I've held the belief (and still do) that UND will be the school to take down NDSU. I just don't see it any other way. No school is going to be as motivated to do it as much as UND. No school would it mean as much to as UND. Not saying the process is going to be easy, but it's easy to focus on.

Remind of the story here. Obviously, there's something I'm missing. I personally feel UND should recruit heavily out of Canada for football. Few other schools are going to.
-
Probably the biggest sore spot of the FCS era in my eyes.
-
I will definitely be cheering for one SU tonight and not the other!
-
I am not predicting that their demise happens, but had Klieman stayed at NDSU, I would say it is less likely to happen.
-
Isn't Bison football uncertainty a good thing for UND?! This could be the first chink in the armor.
-
This makes me think of something I have never thought of before. So this guy already has offers from the aforementioned schools, but UND just offered him today. Am I understanding that correctly? So if that is the case, why would UND be later than the other schools, especially on a recruit that many of our main rivals also have interest in?
-
Mistakes are the best way to learn. The fact that it took him this long to recognize the mistake is troubling, but I'll bet it won't happen again. Consequences are too severe now.
-
I fortunately don't carry the heartbreak of the '80s teams because I was too young (born 1982), so I didn't have a grasp of what the '93 game meant until later. However, I get the feeling the next football victory over the Bison will be every bit as sweet for me as '93 was for you. The 2010s have been brutal watching those guys dominate.
-
I was feeling nostalgic last night, and watched the "good" parts of "When They Were Kings." Can't help but think that a repeat of the 1993 Sioux-Bison football game is on deck sometime in the next few years. Could it be 2019? The crowd noise in those games was unbelievable, too! Can't wait for those Dakota rivalries to amp up the crowds.

That is incredible!! I never thought that would happen, but even more shocking is that UND wasn’t good enough to be one of the two.
