IF UND uses the bye to their advantage - well rested, more prepared, healthier - then it was a good decision not to play a 12th game. No reason why we can't put together a game plan to beat Weber St. when we've had two weeks to do it. Build off the last game, which used defense and special teams to set the tone. If Kett struggles offensively, put Schuster in and see what he can do. No reason to not let him get his four games. Bubba should still be saying "It's a very important game for our team this year and very important game for our program."

I was a fan of the double bye week before the season began, and I still stand by it. We just need to make sure that our bye week is indeed helpful to the team. We should be the more prepared, better rested team come next week in Ogden. It would be disappointing not to win that game.

Obviously specific players who need recovery time are different, but the overall similarities are there. Wasn’t expecting someone to take the comment so literal.

The scenario is set up the same as the first bye week: A home win vs. a ranked opponent in a thriller (SHSU 27-23), much needed bye week to nurse some injuries, then road game against a ranked opponent (EWU). Hopefully we learned our lesson and don't repeat the mistakes of EWU when we get to WSU.

Not exactly an answer to your question, but the Midco rebroadcast of the entire game is tonight at 7:00 pm, so you could see everything you want then.

What I was really getting at, is that UNI could potentially out-bid UND based on facility size. I understand capacity numbers don't always reflect actual attendance.

The UNI-dome can seat 16,000, so I suspect they could easily out-bid UND. I was asking a similar question about bidding on p. 62 that has not been answered yet.

Remind me of how the playoff bidding works - each school submits a bid prior to the bracket announcement, right? Are the bids opened before or after the bracket announcement? In other words, Are bids ever used to determine the playoff field, especially with bubble teams?

Yesterday’s defense and special teams performances should get recruits who were there excited to play those positions.

Thinking along the line of Big Green’s score. No matter what happens, I predict the board will have wanted something different :/

I would say that after the Griffin/Dooley/Merseli graduations, Pryor lost interest in this job and tapped out. Maybe even the year before that, since he knew he was getting them all back once more. I think he thought he couldn't take the program any higher. So, that hurt at least one year of recruiting, possibly two. And the last two years have shown. But, like CMSioux said, the turnaround can be quick, so hopefully Tiffin is on that!

I have a hard believing the coaches are instilling into their players a culture of mediocrity. Perhaps I'm wrong. It will interesting to see what happens from here on out.
