What about DIII to DI FCS coordinator? Still too big a jump?
-
Just hit "Send" on my email to Chaves. Anybody else?
-
Who's emailing the AD? Just curious. I was considering doing it. What would be the best thing(s) to say?
-
Also, I like what Ira said. Keep Bubba. Take a look at replacing one or more coaches of his staff.
-
Just to be clear, I would totally be on board with bringing in an NDSU coach. Can’t hurt to have someone who’s seen it get done.
-
Was thinking the Bison route myself, as much as it pains me to have to beg your arch enemy for help.
-
I think this is the safest strategy. Complete overhaul is too risky for short term success. A lot of the pieces are in place.
-
Need this to be a Weber win.
-
Sums up my thoughts exactly.
-
I know that it’s Penn St. I just saying that, ideally, I think Wisconsin would have been my #1 choice for this type of game.
-
After last week, I am little gun shy to predict a big win. Or even a win. I think the game will be closer than we would like. Final margin will be 14 points or fewer.

To me, the ideal Nashville opponent would be Wisconsin. The Badgers are a long-established hockey rival. They're a big-name school that could generate some casual interest outside the two fan bases (like Pred fans). Their fans actually do travel (unlike Minny), and Madison to Nashville is not really that far (9 hour drive - half of what it would be from Grand Forks). Plus, North Dakota and Wisconsin like to party together, even if they're cheering for opposite teams.

One other thing to note is the surprise of the night was that little Tahlia Flores can add some offense! She had probably 5-6 kills tonight.

UND gets the win over W Illinois 3-1. It wasn’t really pretty, but there were some good flashes. A much needed win for the team, albeit against a lowly opponent.
-
Probably the sanest thing that's even been said on this site!

We are currently in the final spot (6th) for the tourney. We would hold the tie-breaker against the Bison (2-0 in regular season), so as long we do the same or better, we will be in. The match would be against the #3 seed (currently Omaha) to play the #2 seed (currently South Dakota).

How about Morgan Hunt? With her height, I figured she’d be an important part of the mix this year. Is coach saving her for a redshirt season? It appears so at this point, but with so many other freshmen playing, I wonder why. Is she less talented than the freshman he is playing?
-
Totally agree. He’s made some very impressive throws. Having the receiver corps we do makes quick strikes possible, like at the end of the first half against Weber. That wouldn’t have happened previously.
-
Definitely not doing that. But I still think she leaves something to be desired. How spoiled we were to have 8 years of Husfeldt and Griffin.

Kind of looks like Wentz

That's on the defense and setter not getting the ball to where she needs it. Been my gripe the whole season. I honestly think Mattson would been better than Rautio. I thought coach already burned Vetter's shirt, so why she doesn't play at all must say something about the current status of UND volleyball's setter position. Needs major improvement for next year.

Perhaps it wasn’t even Kayla that I was seeing.

All excellent points.

Besides being something fun for the fans who can afford to do it, what other benefits are there from a UND standpoint? I mean, it's a hockey game that could be played in GF with people spending money in GF restaurants and bars. Does the arena or UND benefit financially from the ticket sales? Also, I'd like to see a little more coordination with the Football schedule, as to not have conflicts. I was at the game in MSG, but actually was bummed that I would miss the first home playoff football game in years (although, in the end, it was probably better that I was in NYC, with the football game ending the way it did). The Vegas hockey game seemed to trump the important home football game this year.
