I know Nebraska has fallen on some hard times. But I have been to games in the early 90s in Lincoln when Osborn was coaching. Come game day you see a sea of Red headed to Lincoln. They take their football as serious as we do Hockey and their fans travel similarly like we do. I don’t know how many of their fans will turn out for this game but this is a big time environment. A very good mental and physical test today. Does UND have a chance, we shall see how prepared and ready the boys are. Hope we can be competitive and keep it within reason.

I agree, most of these college hockey players are not picking the Universities they choose because of academics. Now I said most, there will always be exceptions, but some of these kids may actually be put off by the requirements that a Big10 institution has for acceptance. Although I am sure for a high profile athlete some of those requirements probably get loosened.

Hockey programs ebb and flow. UND will be just fine.

Where is the NTDP? Oh yeah that’s right Ann Arbor. Where do a good majority of those players go? Oh yeah Michigan. Not surprising they would be pushing players to the local Michigan schools or B10. Take that with a grain of salt.

I thought we got a return trip to Cornell. We really need to get some payback from big red.

I think Cruikshank would have fit in better here. I thought when he decided to go to UMN that it was a bad move for him. He definitely would have helped us. I wonder if he plans to go further east or go back to the NCHC. Does he end up at St. Cloud or UMD?

TBH and it’s just my opinion and nothing against the player but I would have rather seen #9 go than Calder.

Can they take Bucci with him. His love for east coast and big schools is gross.

I like a few others on this topic think Calder is going no where. Of course that is only a guess and I could be wrong. When healthy I do believe he will be a good 3rd liner.

You don’t pull a Michigan that’s for sure. Who knows if UND would have won but we sure as hell aren’t scared to play anyone.

So either Colby Cohen is super tall or Mike Hastings is like Hobbit small. They should have him stand on a box when he gets interviewed. He has to look up at his interviewer.

UM looks like crap. If they start to play like they should with all their draft picks, their skill will take over. But they are pretty soft.

Like I have said. No one has benefited more than Mankato from the conference realignment.
