  1. Seems UND already did this. https://blogs.und.edu/uletter/2016/08/mens-golf-program-will-be-reinstated/ "The plan also calls for an endowment that will be required to sustain men’s golf for FY 19 and beyond. The University and the UND Alumni Association & Foundation will establish the long-term funding dollar amount for the endowment, which will need to be fully capitalized by June 1, 2018 for men’s golf to continue."
  2. Can't figure it out. Please explain.
  3. Would be. It's odd that you're so hard on Bubba when he clearly doesn't have the same resourses. You expect him to have the same results though. Maybe Bubba shouldn't be the person you are constantly upset with.
  4. SDSU just hired Robbie Rouse, another former UND RB coach. Looks like UND is planning to pay the new RB coach 45k-48,200 According to UND's 2022 NCAA Financial Report, the Mens Golf coach made 68K. Golf generated just over 7K in contributions and 4K in endowment income. This is for a program that is supposed to be self sufficient. Has UND given any official updates in regard to this? I don't think they have. Seems to me that we don't need to spend other peoples money in order to improve the FB and Basketball budgets. The Men's golf budget last year was $212,737. Edit: Looks like NDSU was paying their RB coach nearly double what we were, as of last year. https://forum.siouxsports.com/topic/31929-future-of-the-und-football-program/?do=findComment&comment=1221092 I think people said Rouse wanted to be closer to home when he left for Cal Poly. Makes me wonder what SDSU will be paying him. Kevin Maurice got a pay bump when he left for EWU as well.
  5. Found the document that made me fairly certain about this. https://ndusbpos.sharepoint.com/sites/NDUSSBHE/Meeting Materials/Forms/AllItems.aspx?id=%2Fsites%2FNDUSSBHE%2FMeeting Materials%2F2022%2F2022 Agendas%2F3-22-22 BFC 12-31-21 Mid-Year Report.pdf&parent=%2Fsites%2FNDUSSBHE%2FMeeting Materials%2F2022%2F2022 Agendas&p=true&ga=1
  6. Anyone on the current staff would make sense to me. I don't know enough to say who, specifically. I'm not as smart as most of the people here.
  7. Danny and Rudolph are polar opposites. But ok. Given the timing, Schwenzfeier getting promoted would make sense. If that happens it doesn't mean you're correct.
  8. Are you thinking of the short term funding goal they reached?
  9. When? I haven't seen any evidence of that happening. In fact, there is evidence to the contrary.
  10. Did golf ever raise the required endowment funds or is that where the money for the football coaching staff is being spent?
  11. There is still an opportunity to bring in transfers during or immediately after spring ball. Roster is far from set.
  12. Gotcha. I just found this. Not the most exciting project, but it could also be an arena that the city of Bowie Maryland is working on. They just had an rfp out for the design of a new single sheet arena. The proposed address is 2 miles from a D2 HBCU, Bowie State University. Their proximity to the arena is most likely just a coincidence unless we Bowie State pitching in a bunch of money. Not sure how what the capacity is.
  13. Agree. St. Cloud will likely reduce the size of their ice sheet at some point, and I believe the Gophers are doing so this summer, and New Hampshire is planning to or has already reduced their Olympic sheet as well. When St. Cloud finally does that, I think it would make sense to reduce the size of UND's olympic sheet. At that point, it would also make sense to utilize the extra 15 feet for basketball/volleyball renovations (locker room expansion/lounge areas, etc.).
  14. Crutchley has been in the Missouri Valley Football Conference for nine years. He was the running backs coach at Southern Illinois from 2008 to 2012 alongside offensive coordinator and current NDSU quarterbacks coach Randy Hedberg, and he coached running backs from 2013 to 2015 at Western Illinois, where Entz was the defensive coordinator in 2013.
  15. UND must have the only arenas with asbestos.
  16. https://goyotes.com/news/2023/2/2/general-usd-athletics-announces-launch-of-goyotes-tv.aspx TV situation was something new for USD.
  17. This. Everyone but ORU and maybe SDSU suck this year. The fact that we have 2 conf wins, given the state of the Summit this year, says a lot.
  18. The city has it on their development projects website. Looks to be about 10k square feet.
  19. You kinda lead me down a rabbit hole, and I cant find where I read it, but it seems a stadium was delayed and they are going to change the plans to make it an indoor stadium, with plans to build it after the hockey stuff is finished. Is George Mason literally a guess, or are you not at liberty to say why you think it's them? Edit: Found the latest update on the Arizona development (from the developers to the county on Jan 30, 2023). Seems like most new info will come out in April. They basically just said they are on track on I'm guessing the
  20. Georgia just announced that athletics generated something like 40 million in profit. Zero reason for them not to elevate their club team. Not sure if this (below) is a new plan or old and abandoned project. http://www.coliseums.com/consulting-projects.html Would be a perfect fit for Miami - Only a little over two hours away. Could be the start of a pipe dream conference: Georgia, Miami, UAH, Tenn State, Lindenwood, Liberty, Louisville, High Point.
  21. Since Arizona's arena looks the same, I'm guessing the floor plan hasn't changed much either. Borderline D1 player facilities, but given the location, workout areas would probably be on campus anyway. Any sign of improvement there would be a tell for D1 imo. It's gonna happen at some point. And they still have the Tucson Convention Center for larger games if they want, similar to UConn. (Source for the image below. Jan of last year)
  22. Awesome! Thanks for posting this. I've been following the updates from the developers on this, and inflation costs were a huge issue. This was part of a giant development and the whole project was reworked once before. I believe other pieces of the project are now a phase two. This latest delay worried me, but it doesn't look like the plans for Arizona's arena was impacted much, which is great to see. This was the design from last March:
  23. Even if Feufung wasn't a threat, all it takes to impact Grand Sky and our drone industry is the perception of a threat. Frankly, I think people were kind of gaslit on Feufung/spying. At this point, it doesn't matter whether they are a legitimate threat or not. I'm also curious what it was that caused the Air Force to finally take a public stance on this. I'd give it two to one odds that the Air Force came out against this publicly for political/geopolitical reasons. If Feufung was a legit threat, I'm sure the feds would have made it known to the Mayor early on in the process. Kinda feel like this spy balloon may be related to this in one way or another as well.
  24. Midco is broadcasting the SDSU vs UND womens game and the NDSU vs USD mens game. All three are at the same time.
  25. This game isn't being televised anywhere.
