  1. When I was there 5-10 years ago, Hugo's was always depressing. One of the worst grocery store chains I've ever had to go to. Would rather go to Aldi. Was on par with Rainbow. Zero effort.
  2. https://fightinghawks.com/news/2018/7/3/general-und-athletics-hornbachers-introduce-new-relationship.aspx Any idea what kind of money this type of contract brings in to UND athletics?

    2018 Season

It's interesting that her brother also decomitted from the hockey team in December. Related or coincidence?
  4. That's true. But their windows are high up on the walls. Enough of the HPC is above ground that there could still be windows at the same height. This is on the designers.
  5. Who cares. Judge them based on their actions, not their words! Judging a recruit's academic priorities, based on a tweet, is even worse than taking the recruiting star rankings seriously.
  6. The dream - something like Penn State's Roar Zone. Add permanent seating to the ceiling and add on to the North end of the Betty for more concourse space and locker room/office space or amenities - like hockey's hang out and kitchen area.. the teams that play in the Betty could share it.
  7. I think basketball is doing fine, recruiting wise. The problem is losing guys early. It would be real great to still have a guy like Cashman on the team. If we kept Geno and had a big guy in Cashman next year, plus Jal coming in, we would be looking at making a run next spring. Geno leaving early could have happened anywhere, though, with the opportunities that he had. Same thing happened at South Dakota with Mooney. We can get up to 3,800 by doubling the height of the risers. Capacity and cost wise that isn't too bad.
  8. So in reality, the Engelstads didn't donate the money for the Betty.
  9. Anyone know when our AD is going to begin his podcast? He said he want's to do a monthly podcast to clear things like this up. Believe he did this at EWU, as well.
  10. Great find. Thank you. Surprised SDSU isn't higher.
  11. This is very true. We would also get shafted with our hockey games and everything would be on Big10 to go or whatever backwater channel they air their hockey games on. The midco deal is worth way more in exposure to casual ND fans than a Big Ten tv schedule would have get us in dollars. IMO, part of the reason for the huge drop off in gopher support is the inconsistency in the tv schedule. It used to be on FSN every night, including most away games, now they play on like 6 different channels throughout the year, if they are on TV at all. It's too difficult for the casual fan to follow, and I think we would see interest in UND hockey drop, because locals would not be exposed to it as easily. With the addition of Notre Dame, and the serious potential for a Big Ten school to add the sport, I don't see how there could possibly still be an offer on the table for UND, if there ever was one, or the potential for one. They need to keep that last spot open for a Big Ten school.
  12. Anyone agree that the accounting for non sporting events at the Ralph is almost non existent? I dont remember seing numbers clearly stated in the 990 that show revenues and expenses for concerts and other events. Or total concessions revenue.
  13. UND's football budget is multiple times higher than what it's total ticket sales are. Just saying.
  14. Does the Alerus or Ralph receive the most football revenue?
  15. Pretty sure everyone else grew.
  16. Doubt it, but hopefully it get's funneled back into the Betty. They need bigger risers and money can always go into players and coaching areas.
  17. There is zero proof that he threatened a lawsuit. Kennedy saying that the REA is straying from it's mission is an implication, at best. The emails were released after Kris said this, and it's not the only thing that she was caught lying about. Her word is worth nothing after her lies about scheduling a meeting were revealed.
  18. Anything better than the current deal is a win.
  19. If Mankato moved to the NCHC, how would that impact Bemidji and the WCHA? For whatever reason, I'm fearful for Bemidji. Is Bemidji's program sustainable if Mankato were to leave the WCHA or if there was a WCHA shakeup?
  20. Good to hear. Sure took a while.
  21. Both. Guessing there are a lot of retirees there, but more of a destination do to the weather. Who wouldn't want to fly down there during the winter? Denver has a huge alumni base, but flights are also incredibly cheap and I would think that a lot of people from the twin cities travel there for games as well.
  22. After visiting Scottsdale for the first time about a month ago, I'm all for ASU to the NCHC. Will be a huge fan destination, similar to Denver.
  23. Did this ever get built? http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/bronx/developer-signs-lease-kingsbridge-armory-article-1.1977160
