I talked to one of the players at the football game last week, and she told me that it was a quad injury. She then said it wasn't anything serious and that she should be ok

The first 15 minutes of the game were not pretty, but unlike against the Beavers, they finished the half better and played an even better second half. The offense seemed to be in a much better flow, a lot of easy backdoor baskets that were converted. Buck should have had 30 however, with all the bunnies she missed in the first 2 minutes. Agree that they need to do better with the ball and to finish. There is a lot of promise with this team however once they figure things out. That #20 girl is going to be fun to watch, once she can consistently hit that little floater in the lane that she has. They have a few days to get issues fixed and get ready on Sunday to play the Smart Kids from Harvard. Im looking forward to the start of the regular season.

You would think that cases that are out already shouldn't be involved in this new ruling because they should be grandfathered in, they were put in with the old rules and need to be applied as such. NCAA needs to get back to us soon, I want a decision either way sometime this week so the team can plan accordingly. I don't want this to drag out through the basketball season and then decide to rule. Worst case is he has to sit out, get more familiar with the system, still have two year because we will redshirt him, and could be a main cog his senior year with Lenny, Shane, and Quinton (when he comes), and have a halfway decent team after our fab 5 leave. Besides, there are so many ways to get around this rule its not even funny, and who decided on 100 miles anyways. This ruling will cause more problems than answer in the long run IMO.

I know that our non-conference home games do not scream excitment, our biggest one could be a toss up between Bowling Green and Kansas City. Just have to take our lumps this year in the non-conferece. Next year will be more attractive with more than likely SDSU and NDSU coming here and whoever is our bracketbuster game will be home. Im still sold on an average attendance between 2000 and 2500, once again depening on student turnout. Now of course if we stun KSU to start the year...

I saw Anderson on Thursday at the Women's game, to my trained eyes I didn't see him wearing a boot in any kind, so that is good news on that part. Didn't know about the Fulton injury, what's his deal? Cherry's foot injury is somewhat tricky from what I hear is such that you want to make sure that every goes right in the healing process before sending him out there. Sounds like a late Nov/early Dec timeframe for his return. Another thing to state is that Montana 7' JUCO was not able to come play for them (he is now at Utah) so they are now a little weak in the interior.

Lets get Jensen and Michelle back before we start screaming for Idalski's head okay? Those two back will make things a lot better for this team.

Student attendance will hopefully be a little bit better that expected now after this email that was sent out: Line Priority (both nights): Attend the Women's Hockey game Friday vs. Clarkson (2pm) to obtain priority access to the Men's Hockey game on Friday night. Attend the Men's Football game Saturday vs. Southern Utah (1pm) and receive priority access on Saturday night (no priority line at Women's Hockey Saturday). At each game priority tickets will be given out at the student entrance and must be stamped at the end of the game to access the priority line for the Men's Hockey game that night.

What those 4 teams have in common is that they are all picked to be in the top half of their conferences (SDSU 1st Summit, NDSU 2nd Summit, UNI 3rd MVC, Hawaii 4th Big West) and they will be on the road. Definitely a great way to find out if we have gotten over our road woes. If they played up to their talent and expectations, then yes I do agree that we can get 4 wins. I would love nothing more than to go down to Frost and the Fargodome and get a W over the XDSU's First thing is first, I would love to see how they come out against KSU. I want to see if they can actually give a big boy a run for its money. I like our chances of that better now that its not Frank Martin who is there anymore, but has been replaced by an overrated coach in Bruce Weber.
