  1. If I wanted to be a Mustang, I would have stayed home. Nyet on that one I'm willing to trade some originality for a killer looking logo. And when I say some, I mean a name that is only used by 8 schools or less.
  2. So are those going to be the only losses or are there more coming? What of these position changes? From my count its 6 freshman, 2 sophomores and a junior Losses include a QB, RB, FB, WR, LB(x4), OL
  3. Well he is right, once you do a public record search.
  4. Uh oh..... but yet if it the case, its not too shocking
  5. I don't know if this would impact it, but what is the legislature trying to do this November that will impact the SBoHE and would this have any impacts in this process at all? I am kind of confused on what they are trying to do
  6. These Threads Forgot this:
  7. I think with what we have coming back, 11 is too low. I would put them above MSU and ISU. A lot can change between now and when teams start playing in November. I can see why you put them there with what they lose, but I really don't think all is lost. By the time conference season rolls around and getting Shanks for it would be a nice upgrade to the starting lineup. Our guards will be fine with Tyler and Hooker (I really think Hooker is going to blossom next year) and Stefan running the 3. Coleman looks like a nice piece to the puzzle, fitting an area we desperately need. Either Salmonson or Calcaterra or both need to step up and give us good quality minutes in the post. Hobaugh needs to build off his UNO performance, I think he can contribute as a backup 3 as well. Antwi needs to put it all together for his senior season. Benton needs to hone his craft too. Now if by some miracle Nash come back.... then the whole thing changes. Now you have a solid starting lineup 1-5, added athleticism and stretching of the floor with Nash, and much needed addition to the frontcourt. That would also make the bench a little better with now Calc/Salmonson and Coleman now in the 2nd unit. Getting Nash could be the difference between a team that is battling for a playoff spot vs a team that could be a fighting for a top 4 seed. If UND can also land 1 more transfer to impact the team this year (and 1 for next year), this team could make another run for a Big Sky title in 2 years.
  8. Roughriders Oilers SuperSonics Jets Aviators North Stars Cossacks just a few of my personal favorites
  9. I had an instance where I came to a game alone and got there about 45 minutes before puck drop and got ice seats.... I told several friends who were multiple year student ticket holders in the past and they were like what has happened to that place! I think with Denver at home, more knowledge, a preseason top 5 ranking, potential top 3 preseason and national title expectations, more of the natural rivals backloaded instead of frontloaded. This coming year will be more of a fluke than a trend.... I hope A weird year no doubt, but almost was the finish we wanted.
  10. I think they are in good hands, they took major strides this year and were much more competitive in the Big Sky (I went to a few this year and last and notice a considerable difference). I think they will be alright next year and in 2 years they will make their move to the top. As for tennis, I think the women will be fine. They had a much better record with 4 of the 7 girls being freshman. For the men... beats me.
  11. I guess that explains a lot about me Nevertheless, I would be shocked if a shot clock gets put in within the next 5 years. I just don't see it happening. I think home whites would happen before that did. (I think Minnesota is the only state that has high school teams wear darks at home)
  12. Wonder what the end game in all of this will be.
  13. This class will address a big weakness in the middle (and get some much needed height, all of the hitters coming in is 6' or taller) and we address our setter for next year, and you cannot have enough defense. 1 trait I have noticed from all these girls that the coaches raved on. They all have a competitive drive to them, and that is a good thing to have.
  14. Hoffner's lawyers is just lighting up Mankato's administration and Blue Earth County right now
  15. The plot thickens: Hoffner is heading back to Mankato
  16. Press conference on his decision will begin in a few minutes.
  17. For those who do not think that Jones would be fired just because he finished in the top 3 of the conference two years in a row. I give you the case of Dino Gaudio. Finished in the top half of the ACC for 2 out of the 3 years and got his team to the NCAA 2nd round before being fired. Guess how his replacement fared? 4 years of turning Wake from a traditionally decent basketball school into a firepit and when that coach did get fired, they celebrated. Will it happen here this year, probably not. Im just saying it can happen. Jones needs to get something done with this next crop, the seniors that graduated are the ones that pretty much SAVED his job and got him that extension in the first place. If not, and we do get rid of him next year, I'd strongly suggest making some phone calls to a certain assistant at the U of M that I personally think would make a good future head coach.
  18. That is just the thing, lets wait until she actually coaches a season or two before you can determine if the $150,000 a year is worth it. Im sure she had a pretty good gig at PSU (they are no slouches in women's bball over there) and needed to be compensated enough in order to take a head coaching job. If you want to win, you pay $$$$$$ Back to the main point of the thread, I am sure Brew will be given a nice raise.
  19. Twins sweep! Twins sweep! hey, 6-3 in division play
  20. Brad Bigler! in serious though (although I am slightly with Bigler) if Jones did leave for WIU, which is a long shot to me, A few for me would be Forbes from Wichita State (biggest assistant coach to head coach jobs) Ben Johnson from Minnesota (Miles ties and UNI ties) Matt Margenthaler from Mankato (excellent head coach, although D-II. Father was WIU and SIU-E head coach)
  21. Heads should roll in Mankato for this debacle, will they? idk I personally think he should stay in Minot, take the money and make Mankato pay on the field. good article from the Mankato Free Press on this http://www.mankatofr...-rehired?zc_p=5
  22. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/prep-rally/meet-7-foot-5-tacko--taco--fall--the-nation-s-tallest-high-school-basketball-player-150607770.html He would be a nice get.... wishful thinking I know
  23. Pagano went to school at Wyoming? Huh, learn something new everyday
  24. This hurts worse than Michigan for me.......
