It's so obvious what the best decision for UND and the state is, but I see no chance UND makes that decision.

It will be bad. Could see "war on women" bs all over social and traditional media. Huge mistake not to take a women's sport at the same time as baseball.

I'm not advocating for it, but we've had nothing but weak leadership on this issue.

The schools receive funding based on a formula. The formula is being reduced by a flat percentage for all schools. UND is not being cut 30-40%. The world isn't ending.

I only make the comparison because it's an absolutely embarrassing representation of the athletic department's misplaced priorities. Our MBB coaches make around half of what ndsu pays theirs and a third of what sdsu pays theirs. Appears Scanlan at Bemidji State makes around $50,000 less than our WIH coach.
