  1. If the offense can't stay on the field for more than 3 and out, if the defense can't get off the field... the defense will be totally gassed by the 4th quarter at 7,000 feet elevation. Looking at recent history of 3rd quarter offensive performance, the defense is going to have a very rough second half.
  2. Kettringham can only throw to the guy he watches leave the huddle. There is no one following the "initial look"
  3. My apologies to the readers of this forum... I usually lurk and don't post that much. Just frustrated
  4. This was the overwhelmingly sentiment of this forum a year (and for some, more than a year) ago. Yet, he returned. It's not up to us, it's up to Kennedy, Chaves and (ultimately) Schweigert.
  5. If Golladay had stayed for his junior and senior seasons and played in Rudy's offense, would he have even been given a shot in the NFL?
  6. What is it about losing to as many teams with losing records as beating teams with winning records that says playoffs?
  7. Not complaining about UND being out of the playoffs... think that is a reality. Wondering what the UND administration will do after the season.
  8. MVFC bias. UND's independent status (no one in UND's corner at the selection meeting). Still think UND gets snubbed, no matter Saturday's outcome.
  9. R u sure? Looks to me that they are now 6 - 4
  10. Not going to be a popular opinion on this board, but taking off the kelly green glasses... We gotta remember that the MVFC pitches their strength of schedule and a 6 - 5 UNI will get in before a 7 - 4 UND. Heck, even a 6 - 5 WIU gets in before a 7 - 4 UND (history repeats). Plus, Indiana State would be 7 - 4 if they beat Western Illinois next Saturday and would be picked before a 7 - 4 UND. They might be right. The only team UND beat that has a winning record is Montana. The question is... Is 7 - 4 good enough for Kennedy and Chaves? Will there be pressure to make changes before next season? What if UND loses to NAU next Saturday and finishes 6 - 5? That's a winning record, albeit a disappointing season, considering the preseason expectations with the quality of the players on this team. UND's last game of the season will be this Saturday. Was last Saturday the last home game for any of the coaches?
  11. UND is not playing North Alabama next week. UND is playing Northern Arizona, aka NAU
  12. He doesn't say it specifically, but with his resume, Ira is part of the gobc
  13. First time I have ever agreed with you
  14. 1. The Dakota 4 are probably pretty stable at this time. Maybe Denver and Omaha due to hockey connection? 2. Are Eastern Wahington and Weber considered haves or have nots? 3. Inevitable, but how long will it take until it implodes?
  15. So you are saying that G T submits a bid before the deadline because he doesn't have faith that the Bison will continue winning and get a first round bye? That's about as much belief in your team as Lute Olson booking a Hawaiian vacation the week of the Final Four.
  16. if you are content making it to the playoffs now and then and maybe getting a first round win, then this coaching staff will probably fill the bill for you. If you want to win national championships, I do not think this staff will deliver. That starts at the head coach, goes right through the coordinators - all of them, and even to the position coaches. How many wait-til-next-year's do they get? The one common thought in these threads is that UND has good players, but they aren't being used effectively and that UND is being out-coached. That falls on the coaches. For example, why hasn't Zimmerman been given a chance. Does it have something to do with Rudy just not liking him (as it seemed was the deal with Mollberg)? Don't count on anyone being in UND's corner advocating for the Hawks to get the 4th (or especially the 5th) spot out of the Big Sky in the playoffs. Since UND is playing a Big Sky schedule, they will be lumped in with the BSC and who will be the advocate for the team that is leaving over the team that is staying in the conference? i said this before, and will repeat it, ... This coaching staff feels like it will have UND in the same position in the MVFC that Lennon did at SIU - struggling to get into the top half of the standings more often than not.
  17. Isn't it a closed (secret) bid? Does the institution have an opportunity to raise their bid if they are not the high (first round) bidder? Guessing that Chaves would not want to lose the first opportunty to host under his leadership.
  18. Will start with a disclaimer... Would have preferred UND stay in the Big Sky disclaimer #2... Would prefer Mankato to Augustana, but this can apply in either case, or Northern Colorado it seems that the solution to the Augie football problem is actually not that difficult. Adding Augie, MSU Mankato or UNC would give the Summit 6 football schools. Then the Summit starts a football conference (for Yote, the real power of the MVFC lies in the Dakota schools, with a nod to No Iowa, Ill St and occasionally YSU). Then set up a scheduling alliance with each other. Play 5 games in your own conference, 3 games against half of the other conference on a rotating basis, and viola! An 8 game schedule with 2 auto bids. Ready... Aim... Fire. Put all the holes in this idea you want.
  19. Would actually prefer to see Mankao move up, but UM-TC will block that one. UMKC? UNC? What are your thoughts on this?
  20. You really think Douple has a plan that is not just reactionary?
  21. pretty sure this is not unique to ss.com
  22. Agree that it is time to look outside the UND connection. Fresh ideas are needed.
  23. Of course you do. Time for the #gobc to step aside.
