Has the collective brain trust (CDC, NIH and especially the gov’t ‘spokespersons’) forgotten that Covid -19 is a variant strain of SARS? It is a virus that will always be around... mutations will not stop just because of any vaccine or prior infection. After all, we have a new flu vaccine every year because of the mutations and variants of the flu from year to year. When can we get back to the ‘new’ normal?

I have read somewhere (but don’t want to go back thru hundreds of articles for a link) that you will test positive after getting the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. This was before the J & J and Astra-Zeneca vaccines, so do not know about those. If I recall correctly, you are not contagious, however.

Considering UND played 3 and a half games in 30 hours, their effort was incredible. Congratulations on a great season.

Know I am probably in the minority on this board, but would like to see what Coach Bernhard can do with a year of experience. Understand that the first year was not good, but it was an unusual year. Seems like the recruits she was able to get during the pandemic might fit needed roles in the roster.

Remember the Alamo (Idaho State). Don’t let these guys or Misery State become the Idaho State of the MVFC.

If UNI can rise in the polls when they lose, I would not expect NDSU to drop out of the top 5. Actually don’t expect UND to be higher than 6, and probably about 7, 8 or 9. Although it would be more fitting for UND crack the top 5 considering the Hawks beat 2 ranked teams, and one of them that has been projected by many to win the MVFC.

Not sure what is expected from the QB, but Schuster’s QB rating the first 2 weeks of the season are 151.4 against SIU and 114.9 against SDSU. 4 TDs vs 1 interception. Seems like a very good game manager with a cool head on his shoulders to boot.

It is too bad she will be judged on a Covid year. No chance to recruit for this season after being named as the world goes into restricted lockdowns. Would hope that getting a year under fire would allow her to get a chance for a ‘normal’ season, but seems like it will not happen. Wonder if getting some of her own recruits in and a year of experience would make a difference. Unfortunate that it appears she will not get the opportunity.

UNI for Portland? It’s not like this will happen, but it would be a great conference.

Agreed. Youngstown probably prefers the MAC, but the MAC is pretty stable with 12 teams. YSU fits the footprint perfectly, but, despite talk from McFeely and his dreams of Bison FBS, it does not appear that the MAC is planning to add anyone soon.
