  1. The young man wasn't ready for the mustache. I myself wasn't confident in wielding its power until I was 26 or 27, and even then...I tread carefully.
  2. Lol the good thing for both fanbases is they can blame it on the "weird spring covid season" if they lose lmao. I suspect the loser/winner of the fall game up in the Alerus will have much stronger feelings after a day of tailgating, a full venue, etc. First one to 21 wins im thinking. NDSU's offense hasn't looked good at all so if there was a year to take down the bison over the last decade, looks like this is the time.
  3. Good thing in hockey it barely matters lol. Absolute nonsense every year in the tourney.
  4. They lost a playoff game a few years back and people proclaimed the King had been deposed then as well. We all bore witness to what happened after that.
  5. You have a fundamental misunderstanding of what a troll is it seems.
  6. We'll see how the game goes. I won't be shocked by any result. The backup kid looked like a football player and may have juiced up ndsu a bit. Hoping that wasn't just a sample size thing. Haven't seen NDSU look legit vulnerable in a long time.
  7. I'm 29. And I can't relate to 95% of my classmates on a cultural level. If I am the first person in your life to quote Napoleon Dynamite or Superbad....I dont see you being successful.
  8. Lolol I have no idea if the kid is any good... but if I was any team in the Valley I'd be more than happy to play against Zeb.
  9. I'm indifferent to Entz but I think its pretty clear that transferring has become much easier, more common, etc. Even elite dudes are doing it. Think its pretty funny when like 3 5-star QB's are all on the same roster and you watch two of them transfer out by the end of their sophomore year. Sometimes they'll get like 2 elite guys at QB position in the same year...so clearly both sides are sorta hedging their bets. Obviously a bit different than FCS but I think it demonstrates the change in attitudes.
  10. Lol damn...close but no cigar
  11. Its really strange that USD or SDSU can compete with the ND schools just based on city location alone. Isn't vermilion like 6 or 7k? Brookings is basically Jamestown...which I love but...not exactly a great college town.
  12. This ain't about Neera. If they use it to harm these people, there could be something to be said there. It says 86% of people fall under MSA designations. Honestly might be good to differentiate the areas better. Anytime Bismarck/New York City share a designation other than "a place in the United States where a number of people live", it probably could be better designated. But if they use it to hurt these communities, you can bet that they'll face a lot of backlash even from many liberal state politicians. Half the game is getting money for your state, and if the perception is Democrat politicians in DC are screwing smaller cities, they'll call up their folks in Washington and remind them that the National party fails if state parties fail.
  13. I am not very tall and can't always reach the top shelf. Thats what the nightstand is for.
  14. Eh....I hope people don't think that way too much. Distance learning is trash compared to in-person.
  15. Even if it is disproportionate that's not inherently bad. Trailblazing works sometimes. Would be bad I suppose if the online learning is growing at on-campus learning's detriment though.
  16. I've typically followed sagarin but thats maybe just out of habit. They all got their system they follow. They can all be goofy early in the year whether they consider last year's results or exclusively the small current sample. Kinda wish college sports would get rid of ranking teams for the first few weeks. Doesnt serve any purpose outside of marketing and bulletin board material.
  17. I'm assuming the concern comes from losing for the first time in a few years....and getting humiliated in the process....and not looking very good last week against a mediocre team. Lot to figure out in North Fargo over the next week or two.
  18. I'm not an expert at all but the offense in general doesn't look very good. Defense is probably better than the score looked, spent an awful lot of time on the field today.
  19. No P5 is going to play NDSU in Minneapolis when they can write a check to get them at their own place. So we can rule them out. (90% of the good fanbases fall in that category). Their fans probably aren't going to go out of their way to see a game against an FCS team anyway. Minnesota, for example, would prefer to play the game at TCF. I'm assuming G5's have little interest in playing what amounts to a road game in Minneapolis either. That leaves FCS teams. Who are the "big" fanbases? - Montana and Montana State - James Madison - Delaware perhaps - UNI and YSU maybe - HBCU's. Of those schools, do you think any of them are remotely interested in Minneapolis other than UNI? Probably not. If its true that they got EWU, then thats pretty good and gives people a reason to go. Much better than Butler. They could always see if UND, SDSU, etc. are chill playing in Minneapolis, but I'm guessing none of them (including NDSU) really want to give up a home game against one of the big names on their schedule. This isn't the P5 where top teams meet up sometimes at Jerryworld or Atlanta or something like that and tens of thousands of fans of both schools show up. Only about 20 FCS teams average 10K at home.
  20. They aren't getting a P5 to play what amounts to a neutral site or potentially a road game in Minneapolis. 0% chance. If they can get an FCS team, that's really all they can ask for.
  21. Nordeast is not good. Be better. Hold yourself accountable.
  22. I would assume Grafton is going to be in a bind as Fargo grows. If Fargo grows, that's more kids playing hockey. Grafton has been shrinking since before most of us have been alive. I like seeing the smaller towns compete with the big boys in any sport. Maybe Grafton will get it sorted out.
  23. A.) I think NDSU has had some fan enthusiasm concerns as well the past couple years. B.) I ain't gonna dump on anyone for bad attendance this year. A big part of attending games in person is the atmosphere and energy. That isn't really attainable when capacity is substantially limited.
  24. The only game worth going to there is RR v. Central.
