  1. The kids lack creativity. This must be done properly by the Gen X'ers or early Millennials.
  2. Of course you never want to lose. Say God comes to me in my sleep and says "NDSU will lose to UND this week, or in the fall...but I'm letting you choose which one," that decision is very easy. Take the L in the spring season. Would you rather lose a pickup game to your brother in front of your parents and some friends or in front of the whole school? Same general concept.
  3. I'd disagree. It probably means more to UND. Win or lose...NDSU has around 18K butts in seats for the fall season and people ready to get back to tailgating and all that. NDSU fans can write off the spring season mentally. If you asked any NDSU football fan "would you prefer to lose to UND this week or this fall?" We know everyone's answer...this week. UND wins, they sorta can get the needle moving up north though. If they lose, its just another reminder that they are the "other" school in ND with a football team. I'm curious to see how the game goes. I haven't watched much UND but they've beaten SDSU which is usually a sorta benchmark game. Beat USD who can be pretty solid. And took SIU behind the woodshed who took NDSU behind the woodshed. Based off of the resumes, if I was a betting man I'd take UND for a few hundred bucks, but I'm not a sketchy Portuguese in Providence like @MafiaMan or a greasy Eye-Tye on Long Island so I'll stay out of it.
  4. Either it wasn't close or Zeb is a Thursday all-american lol
  5. I mean...that was their first game in 10 months and CAU's 3rd or 4th game of the season. Not unexpected to be a bit rusty, plus even NDSU isn't going to blow everyone out.
  6. I dont like the "young" thing either but NDSU does have a couple unique challenges for an FCS team. So they would have been a bit young this year anyway had it been a fall season. But the offensive line would have had an absolute unit and they'd have had the best QB in FCS to assist with growing pains. It looks obvious now that even had they played in the fall, they were going to take a step back. Lance would have papered over the cracks quite a bit though. I'm sure plenty of other teams, maybe every team, lost some key guys too. But losing Lance and Radunz really exacerbated NDSU's already less than ideal situation.
  7. Nickel Game. That will suffice. Bring it out of retirement.
  8. My sister used to host the watch parties for NDSU in DC and said they usually got together with the SDSU/USD people for the games. Said it made it more fun. Seems to be a similar experience you've had.
  9. It appears NDSU also has parties at some place called JJ Madisons. UND's website doesn't have the same sort of deal it appears. I'm sure if you show up to an NDSU one there will be some other UND folks as well. You might get peed on if one if the bigger girls can't find a bathroom but other than that you should be fine amongst the Bison fans. https://undalumni.org/WatchParty
  10. The young man wasn't ready for the mustache. I myself wasn't confident in wielding its power until I was 26 or 27, and even then...I tread carefully.
  11. Lol the good thing for both fanbases is they can blame it on the "weird spring covid season" if they lose lmao. I suspect the loser/winner of the fall game up in the Alerus will have much stronger feelings after a day of tailgating, a full venue, etc. First one to 21 wins im thinking. NDSU's offense hasn't looked good at all so if there was a year to take down the bison over the last decade, looks like this is the time.
  12. Good thing in hockey it barely matters lol. Absolute nonsense every year in the tourney.
  13. They lost a playoff game a few years back and people proclaimed the King had been deposed then as well. We all bore witness to what happened after that.
  14. You have a fundamental misunderstanding of what a troll is it seems.
  15. We'll see how the game goes. I won't be shocked by any result. The backup kid looked like a football player and may have juiced up ndsu a bit. Hoping that wasn't just a sample size thing. Haven't seen NDSU look legit vulnerable in a long time.
  16. I'm 29. And I can't relate to 95% of my classmates on a cultural level. If I am the first person in your life to quote Napoleon Dynamite or Superbad....I dont see you being successful.
  17. Lolol I have no idea if the kid is any good... but if I was any team in the Valley I'd be more than happy to play against Zeb.
  18. I'm indifferent to Entz but I think its pretty clear that transferring has become much easier, more common, etc. Even elite dudes are doing it. Think its pretty funny when like 3 5-star QB's are all on the same roster and you watch two of them transfer out by the end of their sophomore year. Sometimes they'll get like 2 elite guys at QB position in the same year...so clearly both sides are sorta hedging their bets. Obviously a bit different than FCS but I think it demonstrates the change in attitudes.
  19. Lol damn...close but no cigar
  20. Its really strange that USD or SDSU can compete with the ND schools just based on city location alone. Isn't vermilion like 6 or 7k? Brookings is basically Jamestown...which I love but...not exactly a great college town.
  21. This ain't about Neera. If they use it to harm these people, there could be something to be said there. It says 86% of people fall under MSA designations. Honestly might be good to differentiate the areas better. Anytime Bismarck/New York City share a designation other than "a place in the United States where a number of people live", it probably could be better designated. But if they use it to hurt these communities, you can bet that they'll face a lot of backlash even from many liberal state politicians. Half the game is getting money for your state, and if the perception is Democrat politicians in DC are screwing smaller cities, they'll call up their folks in Washington and remind them that the National party fails if state parties fail.
  22. I am not very tall and can't always reach the top shelf. Thats what the nightstand is for.
  23. Eh....I hope people don't think that way too much. Distance learning is trash compared to in-person.
  24. Even if it is disproportionate that's not inherently bad. Trailblazing works sometimes. Would be bad I suppose if the online learning is growing at on-campus learning's detriment though.
