I can vouch for that as I was employed by them for a couple years. After a year I was on an active job search because every normal perk was getting cut; matching 401k for example.

Good point, I have been a bit disappointed with the whole Alerus logo situation and now realize it's not worth getting worked up. The new turf is awesome and even better for the players. Anyone think we will see less lower body injuries this year?

When you only have four conference games you have to travel a bit more to unfamiliar or higher tier teams. That doesn't help the win column much; especially when you have to play more than one FBS team. Also Poly played Montana in an OOC game, at Montana of course. Just a couple quick examples.

The agreement was that after 10 years the Al would replace the turf with a comparable product, or something like that. Basically if UND wouldn't have chipped in they would have put in another crappy rug. Alerus Financial is such a joke.

The good news, for at least this year, is that Midco will make the feeds available to FCS on directv, per tweet below. Now the question is will we act on it and get the feeds set up again with FCS; I think the contract is up this year? Looks like local broadcast only. Local fans need to go to the games in person.

In a replied tweet he told me that he will know more information around 2 PM today as he just saw the release with not much detail. My main question was will this just be televised regional or will they work something out so that alumni out west (Colorado for example) will be able to see games like when we had the FCS deal. That was pretty cool. In the end I would be happy if they improved the feed quality of the webcasts; I know Jason Hajdu mentioned that they were working on that...

Time will tell. I like what I see in Hansen. I personally don't think that the current off field distractions will not affect your team much come the start of the season; too much talent and tradition. I am very impressed with your LB corp; they will be tough every game. I can't say that I know much about the QB you speak of so I can't judge. I believe that if Hansen can get a feel for the offense he has the tools needed to succeed this year. Also, I agree that this message board stuff is meaningless. I just want to play the darn games and then we can judge once the dust settles. Welcome to the board and nice avatar photo!

Perfect example of how these trolls can't let anything go. Jodcon did a great job of analyzing the situation without his fan hat on, but you tools just have to throw in your anti UND banter. He was spot on BTW.

I second this. Big Sky is a great conference and we will fit in well once things get going. I may be a bit selfish here but now I get to see Football, in addition to hockey playing down here often. Plus, direct flights to GF from DIA make it possible to hop up there for a weekend. Things are looking up for UND and it's fans!

I also like that we have Cal Poly at home again. Last year we didn't play very well against them so I hope the guys are looking for a little revenge.
