Yeah NDSU has the right formula here in that it is "strongly suggested" that they stay; team chemistry is built this way.

That was something that I was looking for as well. It was refreshing to see them wrap up. Otherwise I thought the team in general looked much better than last year. Let's hope they stick around GF and bust their asses this summer.

Other than Sac State (which sucks at life anyway) can you back that up? As for the football coordinators....you can have your opinion but I think that Kotelnicki and Luke S as coordinators could be a really really good thing. I was not a big fan of the calls that the old o coordinator Breitbach called and Kotelnicki is scrappy and eager and I will take that on the defensive side anyday.

I agree that 60/40 isn't outrageous but whatever they decide to do they need to do a better job of taking pressure off of the defense. Defense was on the field far too much to be successful last year.

My original comment was that select MWC and BE schools have budgets that can certainly compete. The point is that there is a top half, and it may not be as cut and dry as you would like it. NDSU and MSU were mentioned for a comparison, because we have to dumb things down for our friends to the south.

I think he meant that schools in lower tier conferences less a few in the MWC, and BE will never be able to compete with schools who have budgets like Texas, Oregon, Alabama, Ohio State for example. If that is what he meant then he is right on.

I also believe that a tree tier system is on the horizon. When is anyone's guess but it makes more sense by the day. the mentioned schools above will fit into the second tier and the 15k attendance rule will not be enforced. Let's face it; schools like Idaho will never compete with Texas. Before any of this happens we need to do a few things: 1) get the IPF Built 2) recruiting has been good but keep getting better 3) Look into stadium upgrades / gameday experience 4) A little more money pumped into the program will go a long way (coaches pay, uniforms, etc) We certainly have a long way to go but it is not out of the realm of possibility.

Very tough loss but in the end the guys played a hell of a game and are showing some real potential. I am not normally a basketball fan but this team showed that we are capable of much more. I will be following close next year (and hopefully the CIT this year) Roll Tribe!
