We played there last year so nothing new here. If we play our game we will be fine.

I am about 95% certain I will be at this game again this year; the only thing that could stop me would be a big powder dump in the mountains. UND needs to be ready because UNC will come out and play. Like someone said above, they were winless last year and gave us quite the scare. Should be a good game!

I was at this one in person and I have to say the crowd was a bit weak. Low numbers, students sitting down, lack of enthusiasm...it's almost like the fans are trained for hockey because hockey is more of sit and react, whereas football should be rowdy and loud the entire time. It was just odd to say the least. Mackey is a poor excuse of a football player...terrible at his position and just an all around jackass. Tough start but we won in the end so I am happy there but we need some changes to say the least. Looking forward to seeing the boys out in Colorado next week!

Don't get me started on Mackey!

Plus, we don't know what Sparks is capable of since we only saw him against Mines. I think the kid has some good upside and at this point we have nothing to lose so why not give him some reps?

SDSU looks really solid this year...IF we can fix a few things it should be a heck of a game next year.

Let's give them a shootout then! The MSU game was embarrasing to say the least but it is time to move on. I am excited to see these guys in person and to see if they come out with a chip on their shoulder. If they lay an egg against SUU this weekend I will then begin to call for change in the program.

I always found that argument of going D1 caused us to drop the nickname interesting. As you already know division 2 is still NCAA...we may have been able to get away with it a bit longer but it would have been gone either way; people who think that was the reason are not comprehending the facts.

So there has been a lot of talk about improving the in game experience at the Alerus and I think I have a good idea. This may have been mentioned before but what about a horn like at the Ralph? After a TD or field goal let that thing blast! Not many football programs do that after a score, and since we are indoors it could be pretty awesome and intimidating.

I fly a flag at my house during football and hockey games.

I am going to the SUU game and then the BU game later that night. I will have plenty of time to eat, or do whatever in between. It is not hard to do nor is it overly expensive.

It really is sad because regardless of your affiliation that was an exciting game to watch. I just don't get it because i know from experience that there is really not that much going on in GF on a Saturday afternoon in the fall. Partying is not an excuse to leave early because the game was over early. I also don't buy the hunting excuse because I also know from experience that you can get a good duck / goose hunt in and be showered by 11.
