  1. Be careful, you'll be roasted for not "appreciating the gift"! I have asked this question over and over and over again on this forum and all I get is static in response or people refuse to answer the question and change the subject. REA was built, in part, to give UND athletics a huge revenue stream that would support all of our programs. REA is supposed to serve UND, not the other way around.
  2. And going into the future, becoming perennial Big Sky Conference title contenders and making the FCS playoffs as much of a tradition as the Final Five was for the hockey team for so many years. That must be our vision, those must be our standards and the sooner we get started on the long road to get there, the better.
  3. I don't know how any "human being" could do something like that. I am sure he thinks he had some kind of "right" to do what he did. He will find out soon that he does not. God help him if Peterson every gets his hands on him.
  4. I agree with you on this part of your post - but not the rest of it. Being loyal does not mean being a sycophant and pretending that problems do not exist. The day that our fans stop caring about winning games and championships is the day our programs are doomed to permanent oblivion.
  5. Bisonville nuclear meltdown in 3.....2.....1
  6. I have said this about Gopher hockey fans for years, but I think it applies to the Ag School as well.
  7. Be careful, you'll get lectured on the "realities" of television and that you shouldn't complain about it. Seriously though, I am with you 1000%
  8. Maybe common practices for dealing with coach's contracts were different back then? Things change very quickly in our hyper-connected world.
  9. I am glad someone "enjoyed" what has taken place the past two weeks at the Alerus Center, because I didn't. And Oxbow wasn't getting personal. He didn't say one thing that was directed at you as a person.
  10. This is a pure BS excuse. It's not like they've been busing people in from Larimore for Pete's Sake. A Division I Institution like UND can't afford to shuttle hockey fans a few freaking blocks from a parking ramp and parking lot to the arena? This is a colossal joke and it needs to be pushed back on, hard.
  11. No, just let people go outside and smoke and then come back in when they are done. I honestly don't understand why this was okay for 11 years and now, all of a sudden, it's "unacceptable".
  12. That's just it, people will start doing that. Then attendance will sag and the geniuses that cooked up this asinine idea will whine and cry about it. You reap what you sow.
  13. Not everyone is young and healthy and capable of walking that far in one of the coldest places on earth during the winter. Thanks for playing, try again.
  14. Sorry, my bad, I guess I jumped to conclusions (again). This, along with the smoking "ban", are two of the stupidest things REA has done in a long, long time. I hope it doesn't hurt attendance.
  15. Oh please, how much could it have cost to run those shuttles? Based on how much money that arena brings in every game (not to mention their other events), it can't be "cost prohibitive". My dad (who is not exactly young anymore) used those shuttles every single game. Now what is he supposed to do, walk from the freaking ramp or the Memorial Stadium lot? There are many other loyal, dedicated fans of this program that are in the same boat. I park in the Nursing lot every day and it isn't all that big, not for an event as big as this is. At some point, the Law of Diminishing Returns will kick in. Maybe REA doesn't believe that law applies to them, but if it does impact attendance, I don't want to hear them whine and complain about it. You reap what you sow.
  16. Well, I guess if people want to call in and ask questions/criticize, they should be civil about it.
  17. Is that a cheap shot at critics of the FB program? Please offer alternative opinions instead of making smart remarks.
  18. This would be unacceptable. A lot of people would simply refuse to go to another home game until a change was made. Just how bad do we have to get to make a change that obviously needs to be made? 0-11?
  19. Leadership starts at the top and teams take on the personality of their head coach. You saw that with Lennon and you saw that with Blais and you saw that with Roebuck. And (unfortunately) you are seeing that with Mussman.
  20. And you seem to think wins and losses don't matter at all. Based on your logic, we should join the Pioneer Football League and dump all 63 scholarships. That way, all that will matter is team GPA. Nobody on here is saying that "Wins and losses are all that matter." But we also don't think that having a perennially bad football program is acceptable either. If you want to make the case that Mussman is somehow not responsible for the success or failure of a program that he controls, please do so. But to make a correlation between an FCS program and a kids volleyball game is beyond apples and oranges.
