  1. Obviously, you don't want to talk about the head-to-head records. Not that I blame you.
  2. Having St. Cloud in our conference right now makes this argument ring hollow.
  3. And the 1970's, IIRC.
  4. And what made you think that is what people would interpret based on your original comment? There are no "big time college football" teams in this area. And this was a quesiton pertaining to getting tickets to go to games in person. So I don't think you were talking about Notre Dame or Michigan or Minnesota (they are B1G, even though they have sucked for 50 years). You know which school it sounded like you were talking about, so please don't act innocent.
  5. But that doesn't make them "big time college football". That designation is reserved for the Alabama's and Ohio State's of the world. That is what I was referring to.
  6. Like the one in Fargo?
  7. Sure I could, but if I was in the market for a new television, I would probably get as many new features on it as I could.
  8. I have seen that also. If I didn't already have an awesome Samsung flat screen, I might go out and get that.
  9. If you don't mind not having WDAZ/WDAY because of a never-ending contract dispute.
  10. Nope, the "Climax-Fisher Rule" takes supremacy over all other concerns.
  11. I took it twice (Fall 1995 and Spring 2000). It was fun skating in the old REA. Looking up at the seats and how they were right on top of you, I got an idea how tough that place was on opposing teams.
  12. Yeah, once the playoffs start, television starts to dictate the start times.
  13. In 2001, the first year indoors, we had night games pretty much the entire month of September. Sometimes, they were on a Friday night instead of Saturday night. And they were a lot of fun. Hockey doesn't start until October, so there is no excuse not to do this again. Highlighting the FB program in the evening when no other sports are playing would help Bubba build the program. But I suppose it just makes too much sense.
  14. Tickets have been sold.
  15. Best description of the current situation I have ever read...anywhere. Well done.
  16. Is there a reason you don't like the guy? Have you heard his work before?
  17. I have two season tickets that I do not need and cannot use myself. They are in Section 306, Row B, Seats 7-8 in the southwest corner of the arena, where the home team shoots twice (1st and 3rd periods). Includes NCHC first round playoff tickets and Hall of Fame game tickets. Total price for both tickets is $900.00. Please sent a PM or e-mail to helland2000@gmail.com if interested. Thank you.
  18. One man's garbage is another man's gold.
  19. And their disagreement is much more consequential than ours.
  20. I don't know; based on what I have seen around the country, all that seems to matter is winning. Future generations will likely read these comments and laugh at how upset everyone is about this.
  21. If student-athletes were employees, the NCAA would become no different than the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS, etc. If that happened, they probably could kiss their anti-trust exemption goodbye, along with their tax-exempt status. And you would have "free agent" bidding wars between colleges, which would be more bad PR for them. There are numerous reasons (both legal and financial) why it would be bad for the NCAA.
  22. Oh, I am with you on that. We will make the FCS playoffs this year.
  23. Just remember, once you open up that Pandora's Box, there ain't no closing it. Student-athletes as employees would change a lot of things and not for the better. Why else do you think the NCAA fights this idea like a cat in a sack?
  24. Really? You are saying that not liking our new logo is the equivalent to using vulgar language or posting sexually explicit material online? Because those are the things I see student-athletes get in trouble for. I have never seen a student-athlete get in trouble for not liking a sports team's logo. If coaches cracked down on every little thing, they wouldn't have enough players to fill a roster. And I think Bubba leads by example and his players follow him because they love him and would run through a brick wall for him. And these athletes didn't have to choose UND, they could have gone someplace else. So we should appreciate them for what they do on the field/court/ice. They don't owe us anything; at least that is what we are told when one of our hockey players leaves school early.
