I was simply pointing out the thinking at the time the current REA was being designed and built. It was supposed to attract better non-conference opponents than the old REA because of increased seating (11,500 vs. 6,067). I don't necessarily disagree with you; being in the NCHC is brutal, so you don't want to load up on too many top 10 teams in your non-conference schedule. That being said, you better win those games or else you get the situation you have right now.

When the current version of REA opened, it was supposed to attract a bunch of big-time Division I programs. So much for that idea. And this thinking makes us sound like a freaking mid-major program. We are a big-time program and I don't want that to change ever.

I never said it will be easy or painless. But you cannot simply ignore problems that are difficult to solve. And you cannot be afraid to tick people off; that is inevitable when you make decisions like this.

It is time to redraw the boundaries. It is beyond ridiculous right now. Or just have a combined KnightRiders team representing the entire city.

Maybe it is time for KnightRiders boys hockey?

What makes you think this? Central's goaltending doesn't get tested much, if at all, but I don't think it is "suspect".

Cue all the Minnesota hockey snobs with the "That was early in the season, it would be different if the games happened now" rationalization. Central could win the Class A tournament this year in Minnesota......and be competitive in the AA tournament.

Ditto. We won in 1993 and 1995, but 1994 really sticks out like a sore thumb for me.

I think everyone is frustrated and sick and tired of losing. We all deal with it in different ways.

You don't know what was said and/or done. Neither do I. Let's wait until the whole story comes out.

If Chase did and/or said something inappropriate to his team, then he should get suspended for it. Not saying the clandestine video is appropriate, but this is how some of these things get exposed to the world.

Please stop talking about Division I Men's Hockey as a big money hole. It is not a net money loser. Period. I hate the UND-REA lease agreement as much as the next guy, but your other points are so off the mark I won't even try to refute them.

Was at the West Fargo @ GF Central game Tuesday night at Purpur. Final was 8-0 GFC, shots were 49-8 in favor of GFC. Unreal talent and depth at Central this year. Big kids who can skate and make plays happen.

So essentially, accept being a mid-major as the new reality and get used to it. Sorry, I will not do that.
