  1. "But all we care about is Wisconsin!" (sarcasm)
  2. Oh okay. Sorry, I will delete the post.
  3. Careful, this is an argument for kids to not play college hockey at all. #majorjuniorsucks
  4. More playing time wouldn't hurt, either.
  5. Depends on how successful their career was after leaving early.
  6. Is that a performance-based bonus?
  7. Jost is an interesting case, as the Avalanche were in the toilet as a franchise and had nothing in the cupboard to begin with. He was almost guaranteed to play in the NHL. Otherwise, I don't think he would have left. Parise would have stayed in school if he knew the lockout was coming for 2004-05. So he was stuck in the minors for that year.
  8. Some former players have come back and talked to the team about the perils of leaving school early, because they left early and wish they hadn't. Unless you are a sure-fire NHL starter or are really close to being one, they should think twice about leaving early. Otherwise, I hope they invest their signing bonuses wisely.
  9. I mean besides the obvious cases (Toews, Oshie, Boeser). The borderline guys who will likely ride the buses in the AHL or ECHL for years and may never get a shot at the big-time. I don't think we have any sure-things on the roster this year.
  10. Name one player from the past who left early and does not regret it.
  11. FYP. The Ducky and Bunny Police are on patrol. Tread carefully!
  12. I did read the whole post (it wasn't that long to begin with). My point is that the class system in Minnesota is based on enrollment. Bigger schools have more depth than smaller schools. But that doesn't mean you can't find future college stars in Single A. Lack of depth does not equal total lack of talent. #nooffensemeant And for the record, I love Dixon Bowen. He got screwed out of the biggest goal in his young life last year in Fargo and I hope he gets another chance like that in the future.
  13. So if a kid happens to attend a smaller school, they are automatically inferior? Does the name T.J. Oshie ring a bell? SMH #class2Ahockeysnobbery
  14. THIS x 1000!!! #letitgopeople
  15. Nice broad generalization there.
  16. How many seniors do they have this year?
  17. All the blown leads. The inconsistency. Repeating the same damaging mistakes over and over again. Need I go on?
  18. I agree with you on this point. We don't know what will happen to the underclassmen next year. But their lack of improvement throughout the course of this year is what is alarming people.
  19. The sky is not "falling"......yet. But there are some serious red flags that need to be addressed before we get stuck in a hole that will be hard to get out of.
  20. Today's parity? I thought parity has been around for 10-15 years now. Or are you saying it has become worse?
  21. First of all, I never said that. Some people did, but I was not one of them. Second of all, if you question my loyalty to this program, you will get your a$$ called out. #dealwithit
  22. Which is why Minnesota didn't like being forced to leave the WCHA. And for one of the few times in my life, I was on their side on something.
  23. Very funny (not). I don't care about a tournament that my team is not a part of. I didn't say I didn't care about the program anymore. That is a douche post and uncalled for. #dontgothere
  24. This is simply not true. I have seen teams in all sports at all levels that were loaded from top to bottom terribly underachieve. Phil Jackson doesn't get enough credit for managing all the egos on the Chicago Bulls when they won 6 titles in 8 years. Especially his management of Dennis Rodman. And as people have pointed out, Berry doesn't have a lot of recruits that are solely his and his alone. My main concern is that the players aren't getting better from October to March and that is something that must change next year and beyond.
