  1. I brought this up in another thread awhile back (the KEM-Kennedy thread) and was told I didn't know what I was talking about.
  2. This is basically an argument to 1) Drop FB or 2) Drop back down to D-II and join the NSIC. No thank you. The idea that having a solid, all-around athletic department will somehow "kill the goose that lays the golden eggs" is pure nonsense and not supported by any facts (alternative or otherwise). A solid, all-around athletic department will lift all programs to greater things. And I hope Chaves has a plan to get us there. #sickofmediocrity
  3. Something that people need to keep in mind. Chaves didn't hire any of the coaches at UND right now. None of them. He owes them nothing and all of them should consider themselves on notice. Produce or you are gone. I am sick and tired of NDSU getting all the good press while we spin our wheels and look bad doing it. It's put up or shut up time for Bubba, Jones and Brewster.
  4. I guess we'll have to wait for the season to unfold to answer those questions. I still think beating SHSU in their house was a big win. We just need to figure out how to follow it up with more wins.
  5. And we had just blocked a FG and had them on their heels. But no, let's put the ball in the air almost every single down and put our QB in an impossible situation at the end of the game.
  6. How the heck do we beat Sam Houston State in their house, a place they rarely ever lose at, and then have some fat, McDonald's loving guy run up the gut for big yardage untouched over and over and over again in the first half? Maddening. Having said that, I will continue supporting this team and they still can have a good season.
  7. Why did we abandon the run at the end of the game? We had all of our timeouts. We had a minute and change to work with. We could have kept running the ball with our three RBs and used our timeouts as needed. By the time we got into the end zone, ISU wouldn't have had time to do anything. But we kept throwing on every down and put our QB into a bad situation at the end. I just don't understand that thinking. And yes, this is on Rudolph. He calls the plays, he needs to be called out for the bad play selection at the end of the game. Having said all that, if this team wins out, no one will even remember what happened today.
  8. Preseason predictions are not worth the effort to make them. Or worth getting worked up about.
  9. This is why run-run-pass-punt is not "ball control offense", it's "ball surrender offense".
  10. Paging Coach Berry.....Paging Coach Berry.........
  11. That was a shot at me. Nice, really nice. Oh yeah, and..... Suck Pack Suck!!!
  12. Any Given Saturday. It's an FCS discussion forum.
  13. This means we will have to get to their QB early and often and not give him enough time to find open receivers.
  14. It did help having Rocky "Knucklehead" Hager in charge down there.
  15. The "Minnesota Hat Trick"! A classic moment from the Doug Woog regime in the 1990's!
  16. Most of the prime seating locations are sold. There are still tickets on the ends that are cheaper; I imagine some people will walk up on Saturday and snatch them up.
  17. Also, the opposite of love is not hate.....it's apathy. The fact our fans are disappointed in what happened last year and how we looked last week against an over-matched opponent tells you that we have a fan base that cares about the program and it's success. If people didn't care, that would be a problem.
  18. Pat Elflein is practicing again. That is good news for the O-Line. You can build a solid O-Line around him.
  19. That is what most people are predicting. A lot of playoff teams on the schedule.
  20. Watch every team we play this year use the same thing.
  21. Except this QB is more accurate and doesn't lock onto receivers. Other than that, I agree with you.
  22. QB is definitely a strength of this team.
  23. Anyone think we can hold Washington under 50? I say no.
  24. This is embarrassing. That ball hung in the air forever and our guy couldn't get over there and knock it down? If this keeps up, I'll be joining UND-FB-FAN in questioning the direction of this team.
